Lawrence Zongo is also a close friend of mine. I consider him one of the best journalists I have ever worked with & have long been humbled by his commitment and his courage. He has been documenting & exposing the Christian genocide in northern Nigeria for many years. I learned much of what I know from him & his colleagues who live in these remote rural villages where Islamic terrorists come wit murder in their hearts & tear through women & children with knives & bullets & gasoline. Lawrence is a great man, with an incredible heart. I am beside myself with worry over this disturbing abuse by the Nigerian Govt. I will not rest until he is released. Because data doesn't come into the data center drunk, high, and combative. Data doesn't argue with the staff, steal from other data, sexually abuse other data, and vandalize the facility. Data doesn't have psychotic breaks that lead to violent, unpredictable outbursts against random victims. The fantasy that most homeless people are victims of 'the economy' is misguided and naive. Most homeless people are homeless for a reason, and the reason is that they cannot operate within any kind of structured environment, and they've burned too many bridges to the support structures of family and friends. Building a data center in comparison is a breeze.

Some days, i bothers me how petty I can be. Today, however, is not one of those days.

This is insane.

For years, I've been complaining about GPS apps. My complaint is that most times I need to only get about the last 15% of a trip. I don't need it yapping at me while I get out of the subdivision. Likewise, on my way home, there's a point where I can "take it from here." So, today, I had Clod make me one, and you know what? So far, it's pretty cool. Works like a champ. It'll take some more testing and real world use to get some bugs worked out, I'm sure, but for now, I'm pretty happy with what I got.
