Dipika Damerla pitched turning the surface lot into an urban park with fountains and benches. She said she isn't opposed to a parking garage, just not tied to whether the city or a contractor builds it.
Carolyn Parrish said a four-storey garage would ease traffic, and that paid parking would cover the build within three to four years.

Man arrested in #ErinMills for stealing two legally owned firearms and ammo from a woman's residence after allegedly deceiving her through an online dating scheme.
Peel Police identified Jason Randolph Blake Bowden, 42, of no fixed address, as the suspect. Investigators also determined that Bowden is wanted by several police services across Canada and has an extensive criminal history spanning nearly two decades involving break and enters, thefts, and related offences.

NEW: @BonnieCrombie campaigns to bring the TTC subway to Mississauga.
Her transit plan, released today, calls for extending the TTC's Line 2 west from Kipling through Sherway Gardens and "into downtown Mississauga". Dundas is floated as a possible route, and she wants elevated track considered to bring costs down.
The plan also commits to getting the Hazel McCallion Line open by the end of 2028, an airport workforce transit network for Pearson, better north-south links to Brampton, and a congestion program aimed at signals and bottlenecks.
