The sector went through a classic hype cycle. Social-media chatter turned overwhelmingly bullish, expectations outran evidence, and the narrative attracted buyers at almost any price. Then came the long correction. Not just in price, but in expectations. The stock still hasn’t made a new high. That is how much excess was embedded in the price when the narrative was at its peak. Valuation doesn't tell you what will happen. It tells you how much can go wrong before you're wrong.
