On Sukkot, we remember the Israelites' 40-year journey through the desert from Egypt to the Land of Israel and the temporary shelters -sukkot- that protected them along the way.
The sukkah reminds us that life's greatest blessings are not found in permanent walls, but in our community. Even in uncertain times, the Jewish people have found strength through our shared covenant and enduring connection to one another.

We thank Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin for meeting with AJC leaders to build on the vital partnership between our communities.
This meeting follows AJC's yearlong leadership together with the Catholic Church in many commemorations worldwide of the 60th anniversary of Nostra Aetate, the landmark Vatican proclamation that heralded a positive turning point in Jewish-Catholic relations.
AJC was proud to play a role back then, and is proud to continue our work with our close friends within the Holy See.

This morning, on the sidelines of UNGA, @AJCLatino was among the first to personally congratulate Foreign Minister @Omarbula on Colombia’s decision to sever diplomatic relations with Iran—a significant step for Colombia’s security and that of the wider region.
This decision sends a strong message to the world and is critical to curbing Iran’s influence and that of its terror proxies in Latin America, while helping protect Jewish communities in Colombia and beyond. AJC and our partners at @CCJColombia have long sounded the alarm about this threat.
We also commend President @ABDELAESPRIELLA and his administration for restoring diplomatic relations between Colombia and Israel, opening a new chapter of mutually beneficial cooperation and friendship between the two countries.

We are honored to award our friend, diplomat @NMladenov, this year’s AJC Madeline and Bruce M. Ramer Award for Diplomatic Excellence, in recognition of his decades of work to advance peace and stability in the Middle East.
Since January 2026, Mladenov has served as the @BoardofPeace’s High Representative for Gaza, where he is working to advance the implementation of President Trump’s 20-point plan and the roadmap for Gaza.
During his tenure as U.N. Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Mladenov led diplomatic efforts with Israeli and Palestinian leaders and worked to advance greater peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
