AMAC Supports Safeguards for Senior in the AI Environment amac.us/advocacy/amac-suppor… @SenMarkKelly @JimJustice_WV August 24, 2026 The Honorable Mark Kelly Senator of Arizona 516 Hart Senate Office Building Washington, DC 20510 The Honorable Jim Justice Senator of West Virginia 509 Hart Senate Office Building Washington, DC 20510 Dear Senators Kelly and Justice, On behalf of AMAC Action, the advocacy affiliate of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), with over 2 million members nationwide, I write to express our strong support for S. 5117, the Senior Chatbot Protection Act of 2026. Artificial intelligence offers tremendous potential to help older Americans remain informed, connected, and independent. However, as AI chatbots and voice assistants become increasingly sophisticated and integrated into everyday life, seniors deserve basic safeguards that allow them to use these technologies with confidence. The Senior Chatbot Protection Act is a commonsense approach to reform this new technological landscape. It requires clear disclosure when individuals interact with AI, safeguards sensitive conversations, and addresses deceptive or manipulative design practices. This is exceptionally important regarding high-stakes decisions involving healthcare, finances, and legal matters, where older Americans should understand the limitations of AI and not be misled into believing they are interacting with a licensed professional. These legal safeguards will balance encouraging technological innovation and ensuring that companies developing these powerful tools remain transparent and accountable to the people who use them. Older Americans should be empowered to benefit from AI without sacrificing their privacy, autonomy, or security. AMAC Action appreciates your bipartisan leadership on this important issue and is pleased to support S. 5117. We urge Congress to advance the Senior Chatbot Protection Act and establish meaningful safeguards for older Americans as artificial intelligence continues to evolve. Sincerely, Rebecca Weber CEO, Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) Chairwoman, AMAC Action

AMAC Supports Protecting Senior American's Nest Egg Home Investments @RepNicole amac.us/advocacy/amac-suppor… The Honorable Nicole Malliotakis 11th Congressional District of New York 1124 Longworth House Office Building Washington, DC 20515 Dear Representative Malliotakis: On behalf of AMAC Action, the advocacy affiliate of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), with over 2 million members nationwide, we write to express our strong support for HR 9064, the Nest Egg Protection Act. We commend you for recognizing a problem that directly affects millions of older Americans who have spent decades working, saving, paying taxes, and building equity in their homes. For many seniors, a longtime family home represents a lifetime of investment and one of their most significant financial assets. Yet the federal capital-gains exclusion for the sale of a principal residence has not kept pace with the dramatic increase in home values since the current limits were established in 1997. The Nest Egg Protection Act would provide meaningful relief by increasing the exclusion to $1 million for qualifying seniors who are at least 65 years old and have owned their primary residence for at least 25 years. Seniors should not be forced to make housing and retirement decisions based on an unnecessarily large federal tax liability. Whether a senior wants to downsize, move closer to children and grandchildren, relocate to a more affordable community, or simply access the equity accumulated over a lifetime, they should have the freedom to make that decision without excessive government interference. Your legislation reflects fundamental conservative principles: protecting private property, respecting individual responsibility, and allowing Americans to keep more of what they have earned. The bill could also have broader benefits for the housing market. When longtime senior homeowners are able to move without facing an excessive tax burden, their homes can become available to younger families and other buyers. Encouraging appropriate housing mobility can therefore help seniors while increasing opportunities for the next generation of homeowners. Thank you for your leadership and your commitment to protecting seniors, private property rights, and the financial independence of hardworking Americans. Sincerely, Rebecca Weber CEO, Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) Chairwoman, AMAC Action

Americans sacrificed too much during the COVID-19 pandemic to be left without answers. Dr. Anthony Fauci previously stated he would cooperate with Congress, yet invoked the Fifth Amendment repeatedly during recent Senate testimony. Many believe the American people deserve greater transparency and accountability. Tell your U.S. Senators to support holding Dr. Fauci in contempt of Congress if they determine he unlawfully refused to answer questions during congressional oversight. Take action today. #Accountability #Congress #COVID19

July 8th, 2026 The Honorable Kevin John Olickal Illinois State District 16 Illinois House of Representatives Springfield, Illinois Dear Representative Olickal, On behalf of AMAC Action, the advocacy affiliate of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), with over 2 million members nationwide, we are pleased to express our support for House Bill 5170, the Senior Home Preservation Program Act. AMAC Action is dedicated to advancing policies that promote independence, personal responsibility, and the well-being of Illinois' older adults. Our organization believes that public policy should empower seniors to remain self-sufficient, protect the investments they have made throughout their lives, and strengthen families and communities. HB 5170 reflects these principles by helping low-income senior homeowners address home repairs that allow them to safely remain in the homes they have worked hard to own. For many seniors living on fixed incomes, the cost of replacing a failing roof, repairing unsafe electrical systems, or making necessary accessibility modifications can be overwhelming. Without assistance, these homeowners often face declining living conditions, displacement, or premature entry into costly institutional care. Preserving existing homes is a fiscally responsible approach that helps seniors maintain their independence while avoiding far greater public costs in the future. HB 5170 also invests in practical workforce development by supporting training opportunities in the skilled trades. Building a stronger workforce while addressing the growing need for home repairs is a commonsense solution that benefits both older homeowners and local economies across Illinois. Preventative investments that preserve existing housing, protect private property, and reduce reliance on more expensive government-funded services represent sound public policy. Helping seniors age in place honors their lifetime of work and encourages stability rather than dependency. We commend your leadership in introducing this legislation and appreciate your commitment to addressing the housing needs of Illinois seniors. Sincerely, Jennifer Bengtson Vice President AMAC Action amac.us/advocacy/amac-suppor…

July 28th, 2026 The Honorable Claudia Tenney 24th Congressional District of New York 2230 Rayburn House Office Building Washington, DC 20515 Dear Representative Tenney, On behalf of AMAC Action, the advocacy affiliate of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), with over 2 million members nationwide, I write in strong support of the Essential Caregivers Act, which protects the rights, dignity, and well-being of residents in long-term care facilities during times of emergency. The COVID-19 pandemic revealed the devastating consequences of isolating seniors and individuals with disabilities from their loved ones. Families were barred from providing not only emotional comfort, but also essential caregiving, advocacy, and oversight. As a result, countless residents experienced rapid physical and cognitive decline, unnecessary suffering, and profound loneliness. The Essential Caregivers Act addresses these failures by guaranteeing residents the right to in-person access to at least one designated essential caregiver, even when general visitation is restricted. Loved ones are caregivers, advocates, and lifelines who play a critical role in ensuring quality care, safety, and emotional well-being. Your legislation also directs the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to establish clear and uniform safety guidelines. These standards will allow essential caregivers to continue their role responsibly, while safeguarding the health of residents and facility staff during public health emergencies. The Essential Caregivers Act ensures that patient rights are not suspended during emergencies and that compassion, dignity, and humanity remain central to our healthcare system. Thank you for your commitment to protecting America’s seniors. Sincerely, Rebecca Weber CEO, Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) Chairwoman, AMAC Action amac.us/advocacy/amac-suppor… @RepTenney

AMAC Supports the Tax Exempt Hospital Transparency Act July 8, 2026 The Honorable Greg Murphy North Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District 407 Cannon House Office Building Washington, DC 20515-3507 Dear Representative Murphy, On behalf of AMAC Action, the advocacy affiliate of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), with over 2 million members nationwide, I write in support of H.R. 9504, the Tax Exempt Hospital Transparency Act. Tax-exempt status is a significant public benefit that carries with it an obligation to demonstrate accountability to taxpayers and the communities these institutions are intended to serve. Americans deserve confidence that nonprofit hospitals are using their tax-advantaged status to provide meaningful community benefits rather than simply operating as large healthcare systems with limited public oversight. Your legislation strengthens transparency by expanding the information nonprofit hospitals must disclose on Schedule H of their annual IRS Form 990. Improved reporting will provide lawmakers and the public with a clearer understanding of how these institutions fulfill their charitable missions and justify the substantial tax benefits they receive. Greater transparency is a fundamental principle of good governance. It promotes fiscal responsibility, helps deter waste and abuse, and gives policymakers the information necessary to evaluate whether tax-exempt hospitals are operating in a manner consistent with the purpose for which Congress granted their nonprofit status. It also empowers patients and local communities with greater visibility into the charitable activities of hospitals that receive significant public benefits. AMAC Action appreciates your leadership on this important issue. Organizations receiving valuable tax exemptions should be held to high standards of transparency and accountability. H.R. 9504 is a commonsense reform that strengthens oversight, protects taxpayers, and helps ensure nonprofit hospitals remain faithful to their charitable purpose. Sincerely, Rebecca Weber CEO, Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) Chairwoman, AMAC Action @RepGregMurphy

AMAC Supports Tax Relief for the Victims of Fraud July 8, 2026 The Honorable Max Miller Ohio’s 7th Congressional District 143 Cannon House Office Building Washington, DC 20515-3507 The Honorable Tom Suozzi New York’s 3rd Congressional District 203 Cannon House Office Building Washington, DC 20515-3507 Dear Representative Miller and Suozzi, On behalf of AMAC Action, the advocacy affiliate of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), with over 2 million members nationwide, I write in support of H.R. 9500, the Tax Relief for Fraud Victims Act. Financial fraud is a growing threat to Americans, particularly older adults who are disproportionately targeted by sophisticated scams, investment fraud, identity theft, and other financial crimes. Many seniors spend a lifetime building their savings, only to see those hard-earned assets stolen through schemes that often take months or even years to uncover. Victims of fraud often suffer devastating financial losses through no fault of their own. Unfortunately, current tax law can prevent these individuals from claiming a theft loss deduction, particularly when this fraud is not discovered until after the statute of limitations for claiming a refund has expired. Your legislation provides a solution by restoring the pre-2018 theft loss deduction rules and allowing taxpayers to file an amended return for the year in which the related income was reported, even if fraud is discovered after the normal refund deadline. This ensures that victims are not unfairly penalized simply because sophisticated fraud schemes often take years to uncover. AMAC Action appreciates the bipartisan efforts for this important legislation. Taxpayers who have been victimized by fraud deserve a fair opportunity to recover a portion of their losses. This legislation offers meaningful relief to seniors and all Americans while helping restore confidence in the fairness of our tax system. AMAC Supports Efforts to Protect Senior Americans from Financial Fraud amac.us/newsline/advocacy/am… @RepBethVanDuyne June 5th, 2026 The Honorable Beth Van Duyne 24th Congressional District of Texas 1725 Longworth HOB Washington, DC 20515 Dear Congresswoman Van Duyne, On behalf of AMAC Action, the advocacy affiliate of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), with over 2 million members nationwide, I write to express our strong support for HR 8883, the Protecting Seniors and Stopping Fraudsters Act. AMAC Action applauds the Committee on Ways and Means for advancing HR 8883 as part of its broader effort to combat fraud, strengthen oversight, and protect America’s seniors from abuse within federal healthcare programs. Fraudulent actors who exploit Medicare and other taxpayer-funded programs waste billions of taxpayer dollars and jeopardize the integrity of care relied upon by seniors. Your legislation cracks down on fraud within hospice programs and home health agencies by strengthening enrollment screening requirements, increasing oversight of high-risk providers, and improving accountability throughout the Medicare system. Enhanced screening and revalidation measures, particularly following ownership changes or the reactivation of billing privileges, will help close loopholes that bad actors have used to access taxpayer dollars and improperly exploit seniors. HR 8883 promotes greater transparency and accountability by strengthening reporting requirements and ensuring beneficiaries receive timely information regarding their rights and healthcare decisions. Taxpayer-funded programs must operate with integrity, transparency, and accountability. Thank you for your continued commitment to protecting America’s seniors and safeguarding taxpayer dollars. Sincerely, Rebecca Weber CEO, Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) Chairwoman, AMAC Action

AMAC Action Joins Pro-Life Amicus Brief amac.us/newsline/politics/am… June 11, 2026 AMAC Patriots, AMAC supports the preservation and sanctity of life, granted by God to all humans born, and preborn. The right to life is not only a natural right, but it has been codified in our Declaration of Independence, the 14th Amendment to our U.S. Constitution, and by extension, laws against murder in all 50 states. In the spirit of life, AMAC Action has joined in a letter to the Supreme Court, an Amicus Brief, submitted by Advancing American Freedom and 48 other concerned people and organizations, to support the right to life as well as state sovereignty in the cases of Danco Laboratories v. State of Louisiana and Genbiopro v. State of Louisiana. The good people of the State of Louisiana “outlawed abortion in most circumstances,” but a young mother to be was coerced by her boyfriend into taking mifepristone, a dangerous abortion drug, which he obtained by mail order from an abortionist in California; in violation of Louisiana state law. Not only did this drug cause an abortion, but it caused this young woman to suffer both physical injury and lasting mental harm. This injury was made possible by a policy of the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that allowed this abortion drug to be issued, without an in-person appointment, and then delivered by mail. This circumvents the sovereign choice of the State of Louisiana to prevent abortion. AMAC Action has joined this Amicus to urge the Supreme Court to support the sanctity of life under the 14th Amendment and preserve state sovereignty under the 10th Amendment.
