And when the full card comes into view, two larger symbols emerge: the living tree forms a Tau cross, a historic T shaped religious symbol later adopted by Saint Francis of Assisi. The Greek cross on her chest has ancient roots but also carries Christian significance, while the crescent moon and lunar crown connect her to early goddess symbolism. Behind her, pomegranates represent fertility and evoke Persephone and the mysteries of the underworld. They decorate the veil that separates the visible world from the mysteries hidden beyond it.
