Our study “Implementation of an AI-supported decision-making tool in a high-volume stroke system with routine perfusion imaging“ is just out in European Stroke Journal!
970 consecutive EVTs at @sahlgrenska (2021–2024).
Implementation of @Brainomix 360 Stroke - year 2022.
Adjusted CT-to-puncture: from 47 min (pre-implementation) → 35 min (established period)
Largest gains at the primary stroke centres:
• CT-to-puncture −21.2 min
• CT-to-perfusion maps −3.7 min
• working hours: −28 and −6.4 min
At the CSC the effect was smaller (−4.5 min CT-to-puncture in working hours).
In an already optimised network as ours, the time was saved where it is usually hardest: the referring hospitals. Faster maps and occlusion detection likely cut diagnostic uncertainty. EVT numbers also rose in the established period.

Landmark CREST-2 trial just released at #SVIN25. The trial is positive!! Benefit of CAS+MM over MM alone in asymptomatic high grade carotid stenosis. More importantly, no benefit seen for CEA+MM compared to MM alone.
