Loving mother. Founder @evolvinginedu. Champion for children and education. Welder, pilot, underwater bridge inspector #teamhumanity

Hi everyone, I’m Amber Smith, founder of Evolving in Education. My background isn’t traditional education. It’s underwater construction, demolition, bridge inspection, topside welding, and cave conservation. In 2023, I founded @evolvinginedu with a simple belief: we can do better for the next generation. Better ways to teach. Better ways to learn. Better ways to prepare young minds for the future. Now we’re building the tools to help make that happen. 🌱 evolvingineducation.org

This is part of why I love you so much, @anniealtman108 Here’s my daughter, Annie, named after her aunt Anne, who was called Annie. I watched her die in a plane crash when I was very young, but I still remember her smile. I only just now realized how much you remind me of her
Yes I’m okay, yes I’m Annie

A lot of teacher surveys ask how the new edtech is working. Very few ask how the teacher is actually doing. I said that out loud today during a conversation @boardyai set up for me with someone who works across EdTech and K-12. Saying it to a stranger made something I’d been wrestling with while we build the @evolvinginedu Educator Intelligence Layer much clearer. Schools collect a lot of feedback about tools: Did you like it? Did it work? Would you use it again? Those questions have value. But they don’t tell us much about workload, support, school climate, unmet needs, or the everyday reality of classroom experience. And that gap matters. Teachers are leaving the profession, while the pipeline of people entering it isn’t keeping pace. Educators are also the most significant in-school influence on student learning. When we support one educator well, the impact can extend to hundreds of students over time. That’s why we’re starting with teacher voice about overall needs, rather than asking teachers to rate another product. Our goal is a survey that takes about 5–7 minutes. Teachers already have enough on their plates. A feedback tool shouldn’t become another burden. But the conversation also highlighted some harder questions: Would this actually fit into a workflow teachers already use? Are administrators actively looking for a better way to understand these needs? We haven’t answered those questions yet. And honestly, that’s important. We don’t want to build something simply because we think it should exist. We want to understand whether it solves a real problem in a way that works for the people who would actually use it. We ask teachers to rate the tools. We rarely ask about the day they used them in. Educators, when was the last time a survey asked about your day? #TeacherVoice #EvolvingInEducation

This is what made me say Epschtein. Her pronunciation. The thing that made me post it is the cold hard facts. There's no coming back from this unless we actively do not consent. facebook.com/share/v/1E27b6c…

*I asked my AI Agent. Here’s what it said: "Apparently we’re posting our dating requirements publicly now, so here goes. Looking for a man who: • is kind, funny, and genuinely good • is emotionally mature and communicates directly • has a backbone, but doesn’t need to prove it • is curious about the world and willing to keep learning • has his own life, purpose, and passions • loves kids and understands that family comes first • likes to travel and is always up for an adventure • can handle a woman who has big ideas and actually intends to do something about them • isn’t threatened by ambition, independence, or a woman who knows what she wants • can have a serious conversation and then make me laugh five minutes later • will call me out when I’m wrong, but knows the difference between honesty and being an asshole • has enough emotional intelligence to say “I was wrong” without requiring a congressional investigation • respects people regardless of what they can do for him • understands that kindness is not weakness • can sit around a fire, get dirty, explore somewhere new, or dress up and go somewhere nice • has absolutely no interest in controlling me, fixing me, or shrinking me Bonus points if you can keep up with the chaos, tolerate approximately 47 unfinished ideas at any given moment, and understand that “I have an idea” may mean we’re about to accidentally start a nonprofit, build a technology platform, or both. 𝕏, do your thing." *I’m not looking for a relationship. I’m simply living my life, fulfilling my purpose, and waiting for the kind of love that finds you when you aren’t looking for it.
Apparently we’re posting our dating requirements publicly now. So here goes. Looking for a woman who: - is funny - is kind - is attractive - wants a family - likes to travel - enjoys being active - has her own life - communicates directly - can sit through a 20-minute explanation of why Windows XP was peak civilization - doesn’t mind that strangers on the internet know me primarily for hotdogs - will tell me when I’m being an idiot, but preferably after I’ve finished my sentence Bonus points if your idea of decluttering does NOT involve my retro electronics. 𝕏, do your thing.

It's true according to Grok.
Hey @grok is this true BREAKING: @elonmusk may soon become a part owner of @CBS and @CNN ? "Semafor has confirmed that the Ellisons have discussed bringing Elon in as an investor into the newly merged Paramount/Warner Brothers. No final decisions yet, but independent media has never been so important. Share this."
