Jio AirFiber at ~₹1,060/month for 100 Mbps is great value wherever it reaches, I appreciate it and Starlink won't beat that on price. But ~11,000 villages (about 1.7%) still have no 4G, and rural internet density is ~48 per 100 people vs ~127 urban based on the research stats. It’s a really small share, but they are also actual people. Starlink is built for them, and it has given free service after disasters, when local towers and fibre go down rather than charging more and viewing it as a business opportunity If Starlink can't compete, why did Indian telecoms spend years fighting its spectrum terms?
