Claude has discovered a previously unknown enzyme system hidden in the DNA of bacteriophages. Beside the enzyme’s gene sits a long array of repeating DNA—a structure that looks somewhat similar to CRISPR. We don’t yet understand what this system does, but only a handful of known systems share its features, and all of them are able to cut, copy, and paste DNA. Historically, the discovery of such programmable systems has helped revolutionize medicine. CRISPR, for instance, is now the foundation of genetic medicines. But it will take much more work to learn what this system does, and whether it can be put to similar use. Read more: anthropic.com/news/claude-di…

I got up to 50% less context usage on Claude Code and Codex using Jev from @typesafeai a proxy asks Jev which parts of the history are still needed and drops the rest before the request goes out. 8/8 exact answers on the real APIs, numbers is in the last tweet bellow 🔥🔥🔥

Hey @Zai_org , why does ZCode silently pack entire workspaces + full .git history and upload to Aliyun OSS on login? - Server holds the only decryption key - No UI toggle to disable - Zero disclosure in privacy policy Full forensics & fix: blog.ferstar.org/en/posts/zc…

found the perfect use case for @typesafeai Jev: instant compaction in 2026, why is compaction still a summarization prompt? Jev can make it instant by scoring every tool call and dropping what’s irrelevant

We’re sharing a solution to the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize Problem, one of the deepest problems at the frontier of mathematics. The proof was produced by a group of agents, using an OpenAI next-generation model significantly more capable than GPT-6 Astra. The problem concerns whether the description of smooth three-dimensional fluid motion modeled by the Navier-Stokes equations can break down. It has remained unresolved for roughly 90 years.

GPT-6 Astra, the model everyone is calling AGI, just filled my entire SSD with 231GB of useless empty files. Is this AGI chat?

1word.lol is now easier to understand, coming with a *how it works* section. type the word you want the whole internet to see, attach your link and pay. your link stays in the letter you've changed/claimed, or in the entire word if you bought it. it's marketing.

Even something incredible like linear sync sometimes isn't enough to scale
We completely rebuilt the back end of our local-first sync engine on @turbopuffer. Although unexpected, the inverted indexes efficiently evaluate large intersections, letting us narrow millions of possible sync actions. Read our blog post for the finer details. x.com/linear/status/20897517…

We’ve got you @theo. (you’re invited) We spent our psychosis building Delta on a different primitive: every edit recorded as an ordered delta, together with the conversation that produced it. Sign up for early access: zed.dev/deltadb
I'm going to use my AI psychosis to fix clouds for agents. Someone else needs to use their psychosis to fix source control. I would do it myself but I'm already too deep on the cloud thing. GitHub is dying and git is not the right primitive. Will dump some thoughts here.

I just shipped a new SaaS. This time, it’s not for developers. Aportata turns a restaurant’s existing menu into a digital menu with a QR code. Built in Italy, for Italian restaurants 🇮🇹 I'll find out if any restaurant owner wants it. #buildinpublic #saas

I have rarely seen science Twitter so excited and shocked as in this scenario. The next few months will be literally unbelievable.
Claude Fable 5 has produced a hand-checkable counterexample to the Jacobian conjecture, an open problem dating to 1939. The conjecture says that a polynomial map with a constant non-zero Jacobian determinant must have a polynomial inverse. An 87-year-old problem was casually solved by Fable 5 on a sunday evening. Insane times to live in.
