Found this ketchup pillow at the airport a few months ago. Spoke with the Kraft Heinz team yesterday.
Coincidence? I don’t think so.
Some things are just meant to be.
Thank you for having me back, @KraftHeinzCo.🍅

Living in alignment with your values doesn't happen automatically. It happens intentionally. One choice at a time. One conversation at a time. One Monday at a time.
This week, notice where your choices are reflecting your values and where there might be a gap worth closing.
Back at @LockheedMartin for year five with @KevinKarschnik.
Five years of conversations about growth mindset and resilience with some of the most remarkable people I know. 🙌
Change isn’t just a logistical process. It’s an emotional one.
Emotional aptitude starts with one simple habit—checking in with yourself. Because you can’t regulate what you don’t recognize.
Before your next call, meeting, or family meal, ask yourself 3 questions.
Twenty-five years later, we remember.
We honor the lives lost and hold close the families who have carried that loss ever since. And we remember the extraordinary courage, compassion, and humanity that emerged in the midst of the unimaginable.

Some people see your potential before you do. Anne Bruce is that person for me.
@truenorthauthor coached me through my first book and helped me launch a speaking career I didn't know I was capable of building.
Gratitude doesn't even begin to cover it. Thank you, Anne Bruce. 💙
You are not afraid of change. You are afraid of losing what you know. Those are two very different fears. And only one of them is actually standing between you and the life you want.

I have always loved Dolly Parton. Not just for the music, but for the way she lived.
She was funny, sharp, generous, and completely, unapologetically herself. In every room, every interview, and every rhinestone-covered moment of her extraordinary life.
Rest easy, Dolly.
There is nothing wrong with comfort. Comfort is good. Comfort means you have built something stable, familiar, and safe. But there is a version of comfort that stops being a resting place and starts being a hiding place.
Is comfort restoring you or holding you back?
@AnneGradyGroup explained emotional aptitude in a way that stuck with me:
It's not just understanding your emotions.
It's learning how to respond to them intentionally.
And as leaders, our emotional state affects everyone around us.

Leaders set an emotional tone whether they realize it or not. Your confidence, frustration, energy, or uncertainty can travel through an entire team. Emotional aptitude makes you much more conscious of what you’re putting into the room.
Have you ever walked into a room and immediately felt the energy shift? That happens because emotions are contagious. Calm is contagious. So is stress, anxiety, and frustration. You are setting a tone whether you intend to or not.

San Diego, you did not disappoint.
Last week, I had the honor of speaking at AcceleRISE 2026, hosted by the @SIAonline RISE community for young professionals and emerging leaders in the security industry. A huge thank you to ASSA ABLOY for their support in making this happen.
Life isn't something that starts once everything is perfect. It's happening right now.
There will always be another deadline, another challenge, another reason to put joy on hold. Don't let "someday" become your default.
Be present. Take the trip. Laugh harder. Ride the horse.
Nobody goes into education for the easy days. They go in because the kids are worth it.
I got to spend time with 500 Taylor ISD teachers, paraprofessionals, and staff who live that truth every single day. Being in that room was a privilege.
@taylorducks 💙
Every student who walks through the doors of W.A. Porter Elementary is lucky to have the people I got to spend time with this week.
People who show up every single day for the kids in their care. In every interaction, every hallway, every moment that matters.💛
