🎃 Halloween forecast:
🌧️ Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms (20-30% chance of thunder) will be moving from east to west across South Florida throughout much of the day today. Will not be a washout, but many of us (especially along the east coast) will likely be dealing with on and off rain for our spooky festivities. Since we will potentially have repeating rounds of locally heavy downpours, there will be a marginal 🟢 (lvl 1/4) risk of flash flooding across metro and coastal portions of Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade Counties (slide 1).
💧The highest rainfall totals should be confined to the east coast, where we will most likely be seeing totals stay generally below an inch through this evening (slide 2), though there is a small, 1-10 chance for higher rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches (slide 3).
💨 Winds will be picking up a bit from the east-northeast, with gusts of as high as 20-30 mph possible.
🌡️ Should be feeling a little warmer and more humid than normal for this time of year, with high temperatures and heat index values forecast to reach the mid to upper 80s and the low to mid 90s across South Florida, respectively (slide 4).
