Catalyst Fund 14 - Anvil Proposals! Hello to the always wonderful Cardano Community from the Anvil team. We are back for Catalyst Fund 14 with some special proposals that maximize chain impact without breaking the bank. We have focused on providing as much open source code as possible to improve developmental quality on Cardano. Please take a good read through everything we are proposing and make sure to get out and vote, we put a lot of time into these ideas! 1. Semi-Custodial Wallet SDK At Anvil, we have actively see wallet creation as a barrier to entry with our customers directly and indirectly throughout our ecosystem. Thus, we are proposing to create a Semi-custodial wallet SDK that anyone can use within their product to enable Cardano wallets through traditional Authorization systems. -Non‑custodial keys stored on device (Secure Enclave/Keystore/WebCrypto). -Auth binding (start with Sign in with Apple) → session → transaction signing. -CIP‑30 compatible dApp adapter; CIP‑8 signData where relevant. -Optional minimal orchestration server (privacy‑first). Weld vNext (Open Source) Maintaining the wallet theme, we are looking for funding to advance our open-source Cardano wallet connector. Weld is an open source product built to make enabling Cardano wallets in a compact and efficient manner. We are looking to add new features and dependency fixes. -Introduce TxBuilderProvider interface; ship first provider (API integration). -Add CI conformance suite so external provider PRs are safe & consistent. -Ongoing fixes, docs, examples; Apache‑2.0 OSS. projectcatalyst.io/funds/14/… 3. CSL-Lite (Open Source) As builders in the Cardano ecosystem for over 4 years, we have a large desire to improve CSL and modularize it to make it simple and efficient. Pure TS, modular, tree‑shakable serialization. -Packages: CBOR, Bech32, Crypto, Address, Keys, Tx (parse/serialize). -@csl‑lite/compat‑csl mirrors familiar CSL APIs for easy migration. -Focus on read/inspect (no TxBuilder/fees) to keep bundles tiny. projectcatalyst.io/funds/14/… 4. Universal Merkle Bridge (Open Source) As we enter the era of L2s and partnerchains, there is a large void when it comes to how these communicate with Cardano. Anvil is proposing to create a standard to anchor off-chain compute/state to the L1. -Plutus validators: Merkle Tree (state NFT) + Treasury (deposits/withdrawals). -Off‑chain aggregator batches intents; each update spends & recreates the state UTxO with new root. -SDK/CLI + demo (batch swap) for local/testnet use; complements Hydra (different model). projectcatalyst.io/funds/14/… ------------------------------------------------------ And that wraps it up!
