Close to 200 people gathered in person and online Monday for the 2nd annual AI in Agriculture Symposium, hosted by @AginArk at the Don Tyson Center for Agricultural Sciences. Among the speakers were UADA researchers Jason Davis and Dongyi Wang. In a symposium roundtable, panelists from academia and the private sector agreed that while AI is making coding, data analysis and content creation faster, human expertise remains essential. @uarkbumpers @DavisSprayGuy @UarkBENG

Several have asked about results…this trial is particularly attractive, but I don’t even know what the treatments are! All products are coded…we call this a “blind” trial, which reduces my ability to be biased towards any “product”!! A fun fact about ag research…

Today is the World Cup Final, with Spain facing off against Argentina. We’ve spent the last month watching 48 teams play 104 games, all on natural turfgrass. Required by FIFA for all game surfaces, the World Cup has shown that switching stadiums from synthetic turf to natural turfgrass is possible, and NFL players are calling on stadium owners to make the change permanent. NFL players overwhelming prefer to play on natural turfgrass and have taken to social media to voice their preference. We agree with the 92% of players who say that natural turfgrass is #WorthTheCost.
