2028s- With September 1 right around the corner, I want you to keep Philippians 2:3–4 in mind. “In humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” You do not have to shrink your joy. You just have to carry it with a little grace. If coaches contact you, BE EXCITED. Celebrate it. You worked for that moment. But before you post every screenshot, call log, DM, or announce that 8, 10, 12 coaches reached out, consider two things: How would you feel if the situation were reversed? Most athletes will have a very quiet phone while their timeline fills with everyone else’s excitement. You do not have to hide your success, but you can still be considerate. And remember: not every part of recruiting needs to be public. Coaches may not want their conversations posted. If you seem much more excited about one program than another, someone else may assume you are not interested. Some coaches may even back off if they feel like they are competing for your attention. Sometimes privacy is not just humble. It is smart recruiting. Celebrate LOUD at home. Scream with your family. Call your people. And PLEASE tell me. 😂💚 Seriously. I WANT to hear about it. Send me the screenshot. Tell me who called. Tell me every exciting detail. I will jump up and down and celebrate right along with you. Be excited. Be grateful. Consider others. I had an amazing time with @coachClark_UPA at lesson yesterday! Just a reminder you don’t go to lessons to show perfection. You go to lessons to improve your step by step knowledge of how to fix your pitches when you don’t execute them correctly. Today I focused on that. How can I coach myself through a rough game, lesson, or practice. I worked on drop balls, rise balls, and change ups. How exactly do you fix a drop that doesn’t drop enough for your likings. How do you fix a rise that is rising way too much or not rising at all. I know exactly how to correct myself and talk myself through a rough time. I had a great time at @LindenwoodSB camp! Thank you so much for all the tips! ( I even relearned how to bat ) I had an amazing time with the girls and looking around the softball area!
