Met with the Hon’ble MPs from Keralam.
We discussed the operational issues in Mangaluru. The Mangaluru railway area was divided into three different zones, which was creating serious operational problems. The decision to keep Mangaluru in SWR will solve the operational problems.
We also discussed the development of the railway network in Keralam. Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji has increased the allocation for Keralam 10 times to ₹3,795 crores in FY26-27. This amount was just ₹372 crores in 2014. I also discussed the matter with Hon’ble CM @vdsatheesan Ji. A detailed note on railway development projects is attached with this post.

In the last 5 years, more than 180 new stoppages have been provided, while 22 new train services have been introduced in the last 2 years.
