Woman: Adult Human Female. XX. Gender identity ideology is anti-human #StandingForWomen #RepealTheGRA #KeepPrisonsSingleSex #SaveWomensSports #XX

Brighton, England
Gender identity ideology feels like vicious revenge for the social and political advances made by women over the last Century. It’s no coincidence that it appears just at the point women’s social parity with men was within sight. It’s already set us back decades.

This is such a revealing admission. But poor John doesn’t even realise it. My criticism of the BBC is that it has been captured by progressive groupthink. And, of course, if you’re part of that mindset, you’re not going to notice the problem. You’re not being made to broadcast things you fundamentally disagree with because, broadly speaking, you’re on the team. Well, I can tell you that I’ve been made to broadcast things I disagree with on many occasions. I’ve felt impotent fury at some of the news lines the BBC has carried, and continues to carry to this day - particularly on harmful gender ideology and identity politics. And don’t get me started on the BBC’s Covid coverage. Yet here is John effectively saying: “Well, I’ve never had to broadcast anything I disagreed with, so I don’t see a problem.” That is precisely the problem.
George Orwell worked for the BBC for 2 years and didn’t particularly enjoy it. But at the end he told his boss that no one had ever asked him to broadcast anything he didn’t believe. I’ve now worked for it for 60 years, and can honestly say exactly the same thing.

It is an absolutely grievous, unconscionable decision to allow this to go ahead on a day of profound mourning for Jews; the sorrowful remembrance of massacre, torture, rape, mutilation and abduction; the abuse of free assembly and speech. Suppose a group decided to march with swastika flags down Whitehall on Armistice Day?
I am somewhat baffled by the logic of: a) A march is legally required to provide the name and address of an organiser to police b) No-one has done that here, so...we just have to allow the march to go ahead, then.

I remember my absolute shock during the Salman Rushdie affair. Naively I’d assumed that such an assault on freedom of expression would be vehemently opposed by academia, the arts, our politicians. Instead they hedged and cavilled and made excuses. I felt the first hint of dread.
The Green party's open declaration of war on Britain's Jews is not really about the Green party or Britain's Jews for that matter. The party is just a vessel for a form of politics and Jews are a perennial scapegoat for that politics. The Greens have adopted a resolution declaring Zionism to be a form of racism – a ploy originally devised by the propagandists of the Soviet Union – while rejecting an amendment that said Jewish party members should not be targeted for attending synagogue, the vast majority of synagogues naturally being Zionist in orientation. The effect, and perhaps even the purpose, of the motion is to establish an institutional home for the Islamist-leftist alliance which can be traced back to the Salman Rushdie affair. ✍️ Stephen Daisley Article | spectator.com/article/the-le… | @JournoStephen

If a gay white man like Tom Daley wore blackface he’d lose his sponsorship. So why is Daley’s drag womanface being celebrated by the media? Drag insults women no less than blackface does Blacks.

Unspeakable. But also, simply a vivid demonstration of the cruelty inherent in every surrogacy arrangement. Newborns want and need their mothers. Deliberately creating orphans is wicked.
This Commissioning Father mocks a newborn as he roots to latch and breastfeed. We think this is supposed to be funny? We’re not laughing.

A New York jury just awarded $2 MILLION to a young woman who underwent a double mastectomy at 16 and later detransitioned. The jury found her psychologist and surgeon liable for malpractice. Her case alleged that serious mental-health issues, including depression, body dysmorphia, anorexia and autism-spectrum traits, were not adequately addressed before an irreversible procedure was performed on a minor. Now watch what happens when someone like her speaks publicly. For years we were told regret was exceedingly rare. We were told these procedures were necessary care. We were told questioning the process itself was dangerous. But when a detransitioner stands up and says, “This happened to me,” suddenly she becomes the problem. That is the epistemic tell. When evidence supports the narrative, it is celebrated. When evidence contradicts the narrative, the person carrying the evidence gets attacked. A jury heard the testimony. A jury examined the evidence. A jury found malpractice. And a jury put the damages at $2 million. You don’t protect vulnerable young people by demanding silence from the ones who came back and said, “I wish someone had slowed this down.” You protect them by listening. #AStoneGroove #SilentMajoritySpeaks

Every mother looks at this and feels the primal pull to comfort that infant. This stranger to this child makes it a joke. Surrogacy is trafficking and it puts a child’s needs last. This must end. It will never get better. It can only get worse.

Zionism is both historic and spiritual; the ancient connection of the Jewish people to the land of Israel and their right to self-determination in their historic homeland. I am British by birth, belonging and love; Jewish by inheritance, memory and faith. Britain is my country. Israel is not a competing loyalty, it is the homeland of the Jewish people to which I am bound by ancestry, memory and identity. For millions of Jews, that is the heart of Zionism. Not supremacy, dispossession or the killing of Palestinians and not a colonial claim to a foreign land but the self-determination of a people with an ancient and continuous connection to it. In practice, it must mean two peoples entitled to self-determination both living in security and freedom with neither people’s future purchased with the lives, rights or humanity of the other. That is why declaring “Zionism is racism” is not merely wrong, it tells most Jews that their understanding of their own history, identity and collective freedom is itself morally suspect. The Greens should ask themselves whom they are trying to please by adopting a slogan that turns Jewish self-determination into a moral stain. If your politics of inclusion requires millions of Jews to renounce a central part of their history and identity before they qualify for your solidarity, it isn’t inclusion. You are telling Jews: you may belong here but only if you disown Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people. That is not anti-racism. It is imposing a political test on Jews that no genuinely progressive movement would dream of imposing on any other minority.

This gets to the heart of the collectivist error exposed in the Nikole Hannah-Jones op-ed: treating personal love as an obstacle to progress. We don't love “humanity” in the abstract. We love in the particular. That is foundational to a humane society, not a social injustice.
I notice none of Nikole Hannah-Jones' critics try to answer to the basic question she wrestled with, which is: Why should my daughter get to go to a better school than other people's kids just because I work for the New York Times?

This was me right after top surgery. I was so happy to have a flat chest. If someone had told me that only 2 years later, I'd regret it, I wouldn't have believed them. Now it's been 9 years. My dream is to be a mom, another thing I thought I'd never want. Trans is a fad.

This case study from my Mail on Sunday piece should make every politician supporting the Conversion Practices Bill stop and think. This young woman has now said she will delay decisions about gender affirming care until she is older. Her parents went through hell for refusing simply to affirm her gender identity. But by holding boundaries and allowing other explanations to be explored, they gave her time to work things out without making irreversible changes to her body. Is that really the kind of parenting we want to risk criminalising? Link to full article below 👇

Astonishing and sickening. The world must keep asking whose side are progressives on? Fact that the regime in Iran has gone from “Death to America!” to “Vote Democrat” says so much about how disgraceful playing politics with the lives of innocent Iranians fighting for freedom is.
It is astonishing to write an article about Iran and not once mention that the Iranian Regime massacred over 40,000 of its own people in January over 2 days. Or to include analysis of what the Iranian people think and want. The release this week of 8 hours of footage by @manototv shows the scale and horror but also the heroism. What @NickKristof and other liberal commentators fail to understand is the people in Iran won’t stop until this regime is gone. This isn’t about Trump or Netanyahu but freedom. The Regime is weak and increasingly divided and there will be another uprising. The question is whose side are progressives on?
