We didn't always see eye-to-eye about what NBA Top Shot was but nobody fought harder (in public and behind-the-scenes) to protect this community than Jacob.

Six years ago I joined a company almost nobody had heard of, to work on a product that hadn't publicly launched yet.
Then NBA Top Shot happened.
Texting with NBA stars. An IG Live with Diplo. A YouTube stream with Mark Cuban. Opening for Quavo at Terminal 5. Posting in the Discord at 1 AM so pack-starved collectors could go to sleep, because no, we weren't shock dropping that night. My new doorman asking me if I was the pack drop guy.
I gave the product and team everything I had.
Earlier this month I stepped back from my full-time role at Dapper Labs. This isn't a goodbye. I'm continuing on in an advisory capacity, with a particular focus on athlete partnerships.
I also started graduate school, as I pursue a lifelong dream to become a therapist. Thank you to everyone I got to meet, build with, and learn from. Here's to new beginnings and lots to look forward to.
