I think we need to stop confusing community with control.
Buying an NFT does not mean signing away your freedom to participate in the rest of Web3.
You should be able to support another collection without being treated differently.
You should be able to sell an asset you OWN without being guilt-tripped, publicly shamed or suddenly becoming the enemy.
And you should absolutely be able to question behaviour that doesn’t sit right with you.
Because here’s the uncomfortable part:
A project that genuinely values its holders doesn’t need to control them to keep them.
It gives them reasons to stay.
Honesty.
Transparency.
Respect.
Accountability.
Your holders aren’t your soldiers.
They’re not required to defend every decision you make.
They’re not your exit liquidity.
People have real lives.
Sometimes they need money.
Sometimes their interests change.
Sometimes they discover another community they love.
That’s normal.
What’s not normal is creating an environment where people feel nervous about selling, scared to speak honestly, or guilty for supporting someone else.
If the only way you can maintain loyalty is through pressure, isolation and fear of being excluded…
That’s not loyalty. That’s control.
Build communities people WANT to stay in.bNot ones they’re afraid to leave.
There’s a massive difference.
