Cornell 7 frat member says he was "sodomized" by 'Jane Doe' while incapacitated, asserted that nobody cared that he was a "survivor" of s*xual assault. Matthew Ingalls torched school officials in an email, accusing them of gender discrimination and entrapment. "You received information that I was sodomized by her while I was incapacitated back in November, and you never once thought to alert me of my rights under these procedures as a survivor of this assault?" Ingalls said in a letter to Cornell's Title IX investigator in February 2025, according to ABC. "The very fact that I had to bring this to your attention now in February confirms my worst fears: that this process is rolled [sic] with gender discrimination." According to separate documents, Ingalls said he was too intoxicated to give consent and claims he fell asleep at one point. He also claimed, during a phone call with Doe, that she told him that she was completely sober.

A weird thing about watching The Terminator (1984) in 2026 is that the effects hold up quite well but the strikingly tender portrayal of heterosexual relationships feels like something from another world

This doesnt explain how the accused could have possibly known about the lack of consent. You provided an answer to a question I didn't ask
Because maybe she is pretending to consent because you've been pressuring her into it, and she's scared of you, scared you're going to leave or what you're gonna do if you don't get what you want... Could be a lot of things.

The most frustrating part about modern discourse is that it appears to be a conflict of values, but it's mostly a conflict of information Your cousin who's panicking about the Cornell 7 probably has no idea what she's talking about Your friend saying Lindsay Clancy was framed legitimately believes that because she saw it from people she trusts Your dad thinks you are evil for not opposing data centers because he truly believes they will turn the water brown Most people these days have their outrage formed for them by an algorithm and do approximately zero research on top of that -- this happens on both sides, by the way When you're talking with these people you will look like a monster to them because they think you have the same information they do: a college girl was drugged and raped, a mother was abused and framed for murder The vast majority of people are unable to revisit the assumptions that led them there because that would be like a fish examining water To them it is totally and completely true, which means any new information is only an attack On a personal level, please avoid talking politics with people close to you who think this way. It will ruin your relationships

Good, we're on the same page. Why would you assume i disagreed?
have you ever heard about consent. yes, it's rape if a woman continues to have sex with a man who is unconscious and couldn't actively consent. yes a drunk man can also rape a woman and yes a woman (or anyone) can revoke consent at any time.

women can never be held accountable for their actions. from murdering 3 children in cold blood to ketamine gangbangs. they are just helpless innocent babes in the woods, perpetual victims of the universe. the only crime they can truly commit is being attractive in a sports ad

1. The threat isn't always obvious. Sometimes it's failure. Sometimes it's the expectation attached to the task. Sometimes it's the shame history around similar tasks that didn't go well. The brain has learned that this category of thing is associated with pain and the avoidance is the nervous system trying to protect you from that pain.

a therapist told me that ADHD people don't procrastinate because they're lazy. they procrastinate because the task feels like a threat. and once I understood that, everything about why I couldn't start things finally made sense. 1/6

Do you think, for even a second, she had an open mind about this case? Forget deliberations. I'm talking the moment she was sworn in. This is not our jury system. It's not how it's supposed to work. And most jurors aren't like this. But the CW had no chance.
During her next media tour stop, juror Paula Devlin says the mostly female jury knew the Lindsay Clancy trial could create change to “make it better for other women.” “We knew that this was a turning point, and this would be something that could change something to make it better for other women…”
