In 2009, two young Iranian women were sentenced to death by hanging for one reason: they had become Christians, and they refused to deny it. Marziyeh Amirizadeh and Maryam Rostampour were born into Muslim families in Iran. After converting, they studied theology and returned home with a simple plan. Under cover of night, they put New Testaments into mailboxes across Tehran and other cities. In less than three years they distributed about 20,000 Bibles and helped start secret house churches, mostly among women and young people. Sharing the Christian faith is treated as a crime in Iran. Converts from Islam are not recognized as Christians. Only people born into recognized Christian minorities, such as Armenians and Assyrians, are officially allowed to practice. Someone reported them. In March 2009 the IRGC arrested them. Officers asked if they were Christians. They said yes. Bibles were found in their apartment. They were charged with apostasy and promoting Christianity, and a judge sentenced them to death by hanging unless they returned to Islam. They spent 259 days in Evin Prison in Tehran, a place known for torture and executions. They were interrogated for hours, threatened with hanging, and held in brutal conditions. They say they kept sharing their faith with other prisoners. They did not know that Christians outside Iran had started a campaign for their release. Amnesty International and church groups pressed the case. Pope Benedict XVI sent a letter to the Iranian government calling for them to be freed. After nine months, the regime released them. They later left Iran. Their account is told in the book ‘Captive in Iran’. The poster is right about the 20,000 Bibles and the death sentence. It leaves out that there were two of them, and that they survived. The regime tried to silence them. It failed. Iran still jails Christian converts for house-church meetings, prayer, baptism, and possessing Bibles, often under "national security" charges. The law has not changed.

🚨 HORRIFIC NEW DETAILS: Two young siblings murdered by their own mother were not only strangled - toxicology findings reveal multiple drugs in their systems. A Massachusetts medical examiner has finally revealed the causes of death for 7-year-old Kai MacAusland and his little sister, 6-year-old Ella MacAusland, who were found dead inside their Wellesley home on April 24, 2026. According to the medical examiner, BOTH children died from mechanical asphyxia and acute intoxication involving multiple medications, including: * Zolpidem (Ambien), a prescription sleeping medication. * Lorazepam (Ativan), a prescription medication commonly used for anxiety. * Acetaminophen (Tylenol). * Ibuprofen (Advil/Motrin). Their mother, 49-year-old Janette MacAusland, an acupuncturist and massage therapist, is now facing two counts of first-degree murder. Authorities state that Janette killed her children around April 22 before fleeing approximately 140 miles to her aunt’s home in Vermont. When she arrived, investigators say she was distraught, bleeding from a wound on her neck, and confessed to killing both children. According to police, she later admitted: “I strangled them and tried to kill myself.” Authorities say she explained that she had wanted herself and her children to “go to God together.” Police subsequently located both children dead inside their Massachusetts home. Janette and her estranged husband were involved in a divorce and custody battle. Her husband had filed for divorce in October 2025 and requested custody of the children. The children were killed just days after the court appointed someone to investigate the family’s custody situation. Medical experts say the combination of sedating medications and asphyxiation could become significant evidence in determining whether the killings were premeditated. On October 19, a grand jury indicted Janette on two counts of first-degree murder. She has pleaded not guilty and remains in custody without bail. She is scheduled to appear in Norfolk Superior Court on November 3. If convicted, she faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.
