💡 The House and Senate Bipartisan #PFL Working Groups have helped build bipartisan conversations and momentum in Congress around paid family leave solutions. This moment reflects that growing momentum and is an important continuation of this work to improve paid leave.

Congress is increasingly focused on advancing #PaidFamilyLeave solutions. Earlier this year, @EdWorkforceCmte and @EdWorkforceDems held a bipartisan hearing on these issues—the first of its kind. We look forward to building these efforts and getting these bills signed into law.

What about pay for spouse caregivers? It would cost far less than a nursing home or hiring a nurse or home-health aide. Especially when your spouse wouldn’t even be in this situation if the hospital hadn’t botched the procedure in the first place. And because we live in Houston, Texas, we couldn’t easily sue the doctors or the hospital — the ones who keep one of the largest legal teams just to protect themselves from the lifetime cost of the care they caused.
