We joined the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Bristol Motor Speedway to honor the 343 firefighters who gave their lives on September 11. Carrying the names and photos of fallen first responders, our team climbed 110 flights in recognition of their courage and the duty they upheld. This event continues to be meaningful for many of us, including BWXT security member, Chad Nelson, who completed his tenth consecutive climb. We’re grateful to every employee and volunteer who participated or supported the memorial. Your commitment helps us preserve the legacy of those who served.

The Tri‑Cities St. Jude Walk in Johnson City brought the community together in a meaningful way, and our team was glad to be part of it. Families in the region rely on the St. Jude Tri‑Cities Affiliate Clinic at Niswonger Children’s Hospital for specialized cancer and blood‑disorder care. We’ve been selected by the National Nuclear Security Administration to develop a conceptual design for the first module of a new Lithium Processing Facility at the Y 12 National Security Complex. Our Project Pele prototype microreactor has received Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis (PDSA) regulatory approval from the U.S. Department of Energy, a major step forward for this groundbreaking program. In this Supplier Spotlight, we feature BWXT, a proud partner helping advance OPG's nuclear projects and operations. The company's facility in Cambridge is a key player for Ontario's nuclear sector, as it manufactures large, heavy nuclear components - from steam generators to heat exchangers. At this manufacturing hub, BWXT is now putting together the massive reactor pressure vessel that will form the heart of the G7's first SMR at Darlington. Workers are also machining, welding, and assembling the large steel vessels that will make up new steam generators for Pickering Nuclear's refurbishment.
