it doesn't matter where you start it all comes together it all falls apart

This style of animating facial expressions completely ruined Disney for me. It looks so prefabricated, so bereft of any expressive individuality.
First clip from Disney's new animated film ‘HEXED’. The film follows a girl who discovers she has magic abilities & sets out on an adventure into a magical realm. In theaters on November 25.

Obsession aside, it's perfectly viable for comedies to deal with horrible subject without making light of it. Like, the murders in FARGO are comedic but horrific to watch, and the film doesn't mock or trivialize victims of violence.
remember when people were mad that i said this was a shitty comedy with careless rape scenes and not a serious dramatic treatment of rape

Regarding Obsession, I think the take that it's a feminist work is perfectly valid, same with the reverse. And I couldn't care less what film the director intended to make or thinks he made

AI acolytes have this premise that AI will let people realize their artistic vision without needing to learn an instrument or how to paint etc. Thing is, if you had an artistic vision to realize, you'd be making art already!
I am not joking when I say this. Spotify, Apple Music, and streaming in general is over. AI music is now very, very good. You just don't know yet because all AI music circulating today is from ~2-3 generations ago. Suno v6 pro et al has solved infinite personalized music.

Every movie looks incredible and every movie's story is dogshit, I found out today
all filmmakers do is watch movies. They'll name every classic ever made. Never read a single novel or watch a play. That's why every movie looks incredible but the stories are dog shit

everybody's such a fucking smartass these days
It’s never occurred to me that he just might not be good at making endings because he just…doesn’t know what they look like.

eveything in this post is bullshit, but particularly egregious is the lie that 3000 Americans died on 9/11. The WTC was largely populated with non-Americans!
Now that he won’t stop talking, the folks who told us Hasan Piker is a serious voice who should be listened to ought to let us know which of these positions we’re supposed to take seriously: 1. That “pound for pound,” America is worse than al-Qaeda - a ridiculous statement on a normal day, but particularly vile the same week we’re reflecting on the loss of 3,000 Americans on the 25th anniversary of 9/11. 2. That Communist China’s repressive regime is the “model” for America. 3. That Mao was “a great man of history” while the collapse of the Soviet Union was "one of the greatest catastrophes of the 20th century." The great thing about America is that everyone is entitled to their opinions and free to express them, however dumb or immoral. That includes ‘Comrade’ Piker. The rest of us are just as free - obligated even - to call out this vile, hateful speech that only divides America. axios.com/2026/09/17/hasan-p…

"Yes, I agree that moderates are no longer concerned with stopping Trump" you're halfway there, now admit they weren't concerned two years ago as well
The time to stop trump was two years ago but yall didn’t want to for some reason

I'm suddenly seeing a bunch of "it's ASI or climate doom" acolytes all over the timeline. Where did this idea come from? When did we decide the obstacle to reversing climate change are primarily technological rather than political?
The options: Regulation/nationalization leading to ASI Dooming hundreds of millions to climate change deaths And you took door 2. Nice. Props to being one of the 7 leftists who figured out it's not all hype tho. That's worth something.

Yeah and FURIOSA ☺️
If there is any film from the 2020s that will be looked upon when people talk about the greatest films ever made alongside films like Citizen Kane, The Godfather, and Vertigo, it is One Battle After Another.

I was buying VHS well into the 2010s, there were lots of films you could only see on that format because they hadn't gotten released any other way. Especially true if you were a horror nerd seeking out video nasties
Camp Miasma query...how can the protagonist have watched the titular slasher movie on VHS at age eight if she says she's 29 years old? NO ONE was still watching VHS in the mid-2000s. If this movie were made a decade ago, it would have made sense.

People will just post anything lmao. AI *did* exist in the 90s and we were terrified of it! There are like dozens of super famous movies about evil sentient computers!
If AI had been released in the 1990s, it would be universally beloved and we'd think an age of technological paradise was upon us, but since it was released in the 2020s when we've lost every last shred of optimism or respect for institutions, we just see it as another annoyance.

Are there any genres of music that are completely irredeemable? I'm talking not a SINGLE good album in the entire genre

There is not an iota of attitude or emotion communicated through this guy's playing imo. It's pure technique without a trace of spontaneity
the “no feel” argument just doesn’t work with matteo. not only is he technically excellent, but even in displaying his virtuosity he’s able to communicate through the instrument.
