Right now for the cost of 1 Latte it in NYC you can get 2 in Toronto. Our currency is f***d
I'm shocked Toronto isn't full of tourists from the US.
- great food
- great music/arts
- bike trails/national parks
- friendly people
- multiple sports teams
- broken currency
Come support our economy plz...
My hot take is that if you have to move the X from the right side of a popup to the left side of a popup to get your opt-in rate from 3.5% to 4% you have lost the plot
I will only retract this statement if someone shows me over a 6-month period that LTV is higher on customers with left-side X popups.
Maturing in business is realizing the biggest company flex is not MRR, awards, fancy clients, etc. It's having a killer team you trust.
Can accomplish anything with a well-trained team, that loves what they do, and has autonomy to let it rip.
Anything.
Sad to say, but reading is the arbitrage.
Like literally reading anything.
A book. A user manual. Past performance report.
Everyone dumping stuff into AI which results in average responses. You need full context to know where to push AI. Without it, you're never going to have any alpha.

Finally getting on a flight to go back home
Two thoughts as I leave San Diego:
- we need an ecom basketball event
- we need an ecom surfing event
I think in 2027 I’ll organize one or both of these.
If this sounds dope dm me. I’ll make a waitlist or something.
Have to hand it for the homies at @CommerceRound. Won't just tag Jimmy/Nick because I know there were way more people BTS.
Ya'll made an event where agencies, brands, service partners come together and have a good time. That's something special and very difficult to nail in ecom.
Didn't feel like a pitch fest, everyone was learning, and good vibes were had. I saw a bunch of twitter friends IRL, made some new friends, and have a ton of notes to take home.
Epic and can't wait for the next one.
