Our friend who joined us last week has been rating every food place we go to, and today we finally got the first 10/10, which went to Arby’s. It was also my first time trying Arby’s, but I chose the wrong burger, so I’ll have to try it again before I can give my opinion.

Too much just US south this trip. Assumed you'd hit the Penn State whiteout this weekend and other area. You're getting a very limited US experience with just the south, which is of course great.

Green Day are a great example of a band who had a great album in their second decade with 2004's 'American Idiot.' Name another band who put out one of their best albums AFTER actively releasing music for over a decade. 📸 : Chris Graythen, Getty Images

Little different here and doesn’t fit 100%, but The Bee Gees’ 1st album came out in 1967, and the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever that largely featured them was 1977….

Insane behaviour. Deer are not only plentiful, they are delicious. No difference to me going fishing and this. I don’t support needless trophy hunting big game in places like Africa, but hunting has been an essential part of life in North America for millennia.
#EllaLangley is getting MASSIVE backlash from old photos of her hunting from before she was famous. 😳👀 Thoughts on this?

You said it’s BS anyone says it’s about food. It can be “about food” without it being about not starving to death without it. Not sure why that’s BS.

Yes we do eat them, but not in a “it’s how I keep the family fed” way. The family would be kept fed regardless. Nobody is surviving off game (unless they’re poaching)

You’re right, but most stores don’t have venison readily available to me, so if I want it, this is the way to get it. Also, I’m going to eat meat, so I’d much prefer it’s an organic wild animal than some factory farm cow.

This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss. The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes. Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment. To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.

The real buffoon is the guy who can’t properly get his message across.
No, he didn't, you buffoons. He was saying the U.S. is fighting to STOP Iran from having the ability to take out LA and San Diego with a nuclear weapon — which they would if they had the chance.

Two things can be true. (1) He did a terrible job stating it properly. (2) He plainly meant the gas prices are a small price to pay for avoiding those cities being destroyed. Anyone pretending otherwise is ignorant or knowingly being dishonest for political gain.

It irks me when people try to defend hunting in the states as being ab food. No. We’re engaged in trophy/recreational hunting and that’s ok. It’s a cool tradition and foots the bill for conservation. The people who hunt “for food” are usually trashy, poaching assholes lol.

It can be both. I enjoy the trophy/rec, but I also eat it. I find taking an animal that lived its life free and wild morally superior to taking one factory raised and slaughtered.

The only places in Africa where endangered or threatened species are stable or growing are where hunting them is legal. This is because it can be regulated to only allow older non-breeding males to be taken, with the significant funding used to fight poaching. Be educated.

Denying Pete Rose the Hall of the Fame while Manfred’s @MLB gladly takes up the tailpipe for gambling companies, is the most heinous irony in sports. Such a powerhouse of knowledge for the game and he went his grave never getting the acknowledgment he deserved.
Pete Rose shares tons of baseball knowledge with A-Rod and Frank Thomas. It’s a 6 minute video, but I promise you, it’s the best thing you’ll see about Pete Rose today.

This is not difficult. Gambling = okay. Gambling on games you are involved in = destroys the integrity of the game and threatens its existence. Two wildly different things.

Even Trump’s critics aren’t falling for the faux outrage. Thank you for the intellectual honesty.
I have been pretty critical of Trump on Iran, but this is a shamefully dishonest mischaracterization of what he said, which is that he does not want that to happen, and that he thinks that higher gas prices are worth it to ensure that it doesn't.

“Trump’s critics,” and it’s simply someone who applies the same principles and beliefs to every situation regardless of party.

So when Trump eventually passes away, as a Los Angeles resident, I’m going to keep that same energy. By the way, millions of people in California voted for him and he just told them they are collateral damage.
Trump: "With the war, it's just artificial. It's a little bit high. It's a small price to pay ... let them take out Los Angeles, let them take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay."

Be better than this Dejan, you have followers who now take this at face value b/c you reacted without context. He said higher gas prices are a small price to pay to avoid Iran taking out a city like LA or SD. Even CNN fact checker Daniel Dale admitted this was a false headline

You should listen to what he actually said. He said we have to stop Iran from getting a nuke, otherwise they’d take out a city like LA or SD, and higher fuel is a small price to pay to avoid that.
