Let me spell out what this means for privacy: Surveillance is hidden all through opaque software. You are never meant to find it. But AI can decompile, analyze, & expose exactly what your apps are doing. The age of "trust us" software is ending. Privacy revolution incoming.
Open-source implementation of the entire Adobe Suite, reverse engineered by AI. Closed source is dead.

I’ll take $5,000 dollars over socialism. It’s not a hard choice. Vote RED!
Community note
Opposing socialism on ideological grounds while simultaneously advocating for government-issued "free money" represents a contradiction, as state-funded monetary benefits are a form of public resource distribution rather than free-market capitalism. britannica.com/money/socialism

What I've learned from big-brained MAGA social media influencers heading into the midterms is that red socialism is heavenly goodness while blue socialism is of the devil.

HYPOTHETICALLY… IF I BOUGHT MY HOUSE FOR $125,000 IN 2002 AND THE COUNTY NOW SAYS IT’S WORTH $487,000, WHERE DID I ACTUALLY MAKE $362,000? Did I sell it? No. Did I receive $362,000? No. Did somebody hand me a check for the new assessed value? Obviously not. But my property taxes still go up because, on paper, my house is suddenly worth hundreds of thousands more. That’s the part that doesn’t make sense to me. This isn’t income. It isn’t cash sitting in my bank account. It’s a number someone assigned to my property, and now I’m being billed based on that number. If my stock portfolio doubles but I don’t sell, I haven’t turned that gain into cash. If my salary stays the same, I don’t suddenly owe more income tax because someone thinks I’m worth more. So why does owning a home work differently? WHY AM I PAYING TAX ON A GAIN I NEVER REALIZED? A house isn’t just an investment. It’s where people live. You can pay off the mortgage, own the property outright, and still face a bigger bill every year because the value of the house went up on paper. At some point, you have to ask what “owning” something actually means if the cost of keeping it can keep rising because of money you never received. THIS ISN’T ABOUT WHETHER THE HOUSE IS “WORTH” MORE. IT’S ABOUT BEING CHARGED FOR VALUE YOU NEVER TURNED INTO CASH. And people are starting to notice.

The USPS has no role in helping to improve "community safety." But, it will make the carriers and their vehicles moving targets.
New: USPS is to put cameras in its trucks that continuously record. To gather data on roads, signage, and to improve "community safety," the agency tells me. The cameras are marketed to capture passing license plates too, but don't run ALPR software 404media.co/usps-to-put-came…

Is it just me, or are traditional "news outlets" becoming more and more worthless? When government agencies have their own social media outlets to publish information on, what good is a new channel that's not focused on investigative journalism or at least asking questions?

Backlash against Flock and other ALPRs has been fierce, and it may get fiercer: an anti-drug trafficking program from the 1980s is forcing cities nationwide to funnel ALPR data into a massive federal surveillance program.
New: Through a series of complex agreements with cities, the White House built a massive license plate camera database accessible to the feds. The program aggregates data across license plate companies (Flock, Axon, more) & is searchable by many agencies: 404media.co/how-cities-are-f…

If a sheriff wants your location history, he should get a warrant. Instead agencies buy it from a data broker. No warrant needed. Same data. No judge. No probable cause. Buying your way around the Fourth Amendment is still going around it.
