Well said
This is the reality for a lot of modern relationships
I’m a married man, but honestly, with the way many women are moving these days, I think a lot of men are going to regret getting married in the future.
Social media has damaged women’s mindset toward marriage. Many who have never even been married are already adopting trauma from other people’s marriages.
This generation of women doesn’t want to be bored, make sacrifices, struggle, or even experience temporary unhappiness. They are afraid of losing their careers, their personal identity such as their last name, or the idea of being seen as just a wife and mother.
They want everything rosy all the time, and if it’s not, then the marriage is labeled as toxic or oppressive. Many approach relationships as if they are perfect beings who should never feel discomfort.
From what I’ve read and observed, a lot of women no longer see marriage as a lifelong commitment but rather as a conditional arrangement.
They come in with one foot in and one foot out, already entertaining the idea of divorce at the slightest inconvenience. And when that time comes, society and other women will support her without question.
Even if you’re the best husband, faithful, hardworking, and loving, her mind might still be clouded by the trauma she has absorbed from other women’s bad experiences.
Many also miss the excitement of single life: the attention, the dates, the free gifts, the thrill of being chased. When marriage slows that down, it feels like a loss instead of a natural transition, and that discontent can eat away at the relationship.
The truth is, marriage has always required sacrifice, patience, and resilience from both partners. It is not designed to be a constant source of happiness but a partnership where growth and meaning are
found even through hardship. Unfortunately, modern culture often conditions women to expect perfection while avoiding discomfort. That mindset makes it nearly impossible for many marriages today to thrive.
At the end of the day, a man must understand that in this climate, you are on your own. Marriage can still work, but only if both partners enter with commitment, maturity, and realistic expectations. Otherwise, no matter how good of a husband you are, she may already be planning her exit.
