So where did the rot start at the ABC - PM Scott Morrison (AWPME) appointed Ita Buttrose as Chair, who appointed David Anderson as CEO, who appoints Justin Stevens Director of News - and in the firing line is one of Australia’s finest journalists we’re lucky to have: Ms Tingle

That Katy is the standard all over the state. Just travelled down the Hume highway & the amount of wire barrier ropes that are damaged & not repaired is beyond belief, & the road surface is also fast becoming 2nd rate. And let's not talk about the rubbish, the road kill & the overgrowth that is piling up on the sides of the road. Corrupt Labor has to go....

Melbourne’s roads are an absolute disgrace! This is just a typical suburban street, yet the entire stretch is riddled with deep, car-damaging potholes. Where are the funds going to fix the roads? 😠😠

On Monday @RichardMarlesMP announced he was re-arranging the deck chairs on the HMAS Titanic. But with the same captain, same crew and same tunes being played by the same band, the outcome for us taxpaying passengers will remain unchanged.👇 #AUKUS #auspol michaelwest.com.au/marles-ne…

The Victorian government has had the Silver Report for 6 months. Taken no action. All words. Say they will cut 1000 public sector jobs! Anyone want to have a wager that they will not. There will not be savings of $4bn over 5 years. Watch the very generous payouts to the few they will retrench

We could have cheaper power immediately, but this can only occur if the Govt puts Australians ahead of foreign energy users and gas cartel mega profits. Any gas reservation policy must be RETROSPECTIVE to achieve the right outcome. It’s OUR gas! 1/2 #auspol theguardian.com/business/202…

What a surprise! Trump, according to Richard Marles is “completely supportive” of AUKUS, We abandon our sovereignty, sign a one sided dud deal, subsidise the US and UK military industrial establishments, build public housing for US troops, antagonise China. What a deal for Trump!

Brereton was meant to hunt corruption, not embody it. The NACC can’t run with a man who’s become the conflict of interest. Stand down - you wear “corrupt” like a bespoke suit. I know where you’ve buried the bodies & the truth is coming for you! #auspol michaelwest.com.au/enough-is…

This decision will be very telling. Will govt force exporters to offer uncontracted gas from existing projects to 🇦🇺 and bring down prices to ensure Australians benefit from cheaper 🇦🇺 gas. smh.com.au/politics/federal/… Or will they protect gas exporters profits by only applying a gas reservation policy to new projects? Companies like Santos are currently buying up huge volumes of uncontracted gas and exporting it, jacking up prices for Australians. This has to end. Divert uncontracted gas now. There is no sovereign risk in this and that is our gas!

It beggers belief watching fat cat bureaucrats like the CEO of the future fund, Raphael Arndt, telling us why it was a good idea to spend taxpayer's money on business class travel overseas for his assistant to scope out hotel rooms. Not to mention him dining at Disney's exclusive Disney Club 33. Good questioning from Senator Pocock. He's starting to get in the swing of things.

Labor's attempt to further reduce transparency by watering down the FOI Act seems destined for defeat - the fate this bad bill deserves. canberratimes.com.au/story/9… We need real reform of FOI to deliver on the public's right to know. Govt must go back to the drawing board and develop something that works.

Finally the Briggs report has been released, and sure enough, it’s not pretty. The Govt should implement all the recommendations to stop the jobs for mates, not just those that suit them. #auspol theguardian.com/australia-ne…

I think it's appalling to display an image of this man, Ben Roberts Smith, given everything we know about him, in the 'Hall of Valour' at the War Memorial. The CEO of the War Memorial says he "stands by it".
