🌟 Pixels AMA Recap @pixels_online This week's AMA had some pretty interesting updates 👀 🔥 Community Bounties The team is pushing the community request board as a major way to help build Pixels. 💰 Bounties can reach 500K–750K PIXEL 🏰 Bigger features like World Bosses & Town Defense can reach $2,500+ 🎨 New Realms/PIG script bounties could pay 75K PIXEL per item 🤖 AI coding tools like Claude Code & Codex are allowed 👥 Bigger features can be built by teams and split the bounty If you have an idea, check out community.pixels.xyz 👀 -------------------------------------------------------- 🎄 Holiday UGC Fair is BACK! The fair is returning with a brand-new winter/holiday map! ❄️ 🗓️ Submit art by November 15 🎨 Event starts in early December 📝 Official submission form will be required ♻️ Old holiday UGCs can be reused Pure AI-generated art won't be accepted. AI can help, but the final work needs proper artist retouching. -------------------------------------------------------- 💙 Merchant Ship & Buoy Bucks A small store update is coming soon with raffle tickets and new cosmetics, but it won't solve the Buoy Bucks inflation issue. Mobile is still complicated because of App Store restrictions around crypto. But one thing was made clear: ✅ Core Pixels is NOT shutting down. Operating costs are low, and the open-source direction means the community can play a bigger role in building the game through bounties. There are also some small crypto experiments being explored outside Pixels, including possible PIXEL burns through tools like Relay. -------------------------------------------------------- 🐣 Chubkins bug A server migration bug briefly affected some Chubkins, but it has been fixed and affected players received a little gift. Web3 gaming is definitely going through a rough period, but Pixels is still building. The focus seems to be shifting toward community development, better UX, open-source tools, and reaching people beyond crypto Twitter. There are some types of events within Pixels that perfectly capture what makes this community so special to me. And Twix's Sugar Rush is definitely one of them! 😋✨🍬🍭 The mission seemed simple: find candies scattered across the world of Pixels and bring them to Twix 😊. But anyone who knows the community understands that when there’s a collective mission, the story is never that simple 😂🤣😌. The candies started appearing in the center of Terra Villa and continued all the way to the Carnival, where most of them were concentrated. And then the hunt began! 😎🥳 Everyone was searching, running back and forth, trying to figure out where the next candies were 😅. And there was one detail that made everything even more fun: we didn’t know exactly how many candies existed 🥹. And that’s exactly where the magic lies 🤩. 🍭You don’t know if you’ve found them all. 🍭You don’t know if there’s another one hidden 😋. 🍭You don’t know if someone has just discovered a new location. 🍬So you keep searching 😉. And in the middle of it all, the community does what it knows best: being together 🥰😍. Because, for me, that’s what these events are made of. It’s not just about completing a quest ✨😊... ✨It’s about meeting people along the way. ✨ the chaos. ✨ running without knowing exactly where to go. ✨sharing discoveries. ✨ It’s about that feeling of “maybe there’s one more over there?” 😂 ✨It’s about simply being in the game, living that moment with others. In the end, I managed to collect 170 candies and delivered them all to Twix. And the reward? A UCG of a wonderful pink tree ❤️! I must admit I loved the tree. But this time, it was almost just a bonus… Because what truly stayed with me was the experience of taking part in that hunt.😋🤩 It’s this kind of event that reminds me why I love Pixels so much!! 🙌🤩 When a game manages to create a situation where people aren’t just playing, but living something together, it creates much more than a mechanic. It creates stories and memorable experiences 😍🥰🙌. And maybe that’s one of the greatest strengths of a community: turning a simple mission into a collective memory✨.
