An update on the future of Hyperion.
Spoiler alert: its huge!
Hyperion: Season 1 is currently in development.
While we're not ready to reveal much about the season's story or theme just yet, we can share one of the biggest changes happening behind the scenes: Season 1 marks Hyperion's transition away from traditional Fortnite devices for the majority of its core gameplay systems.
Item Granters, traditional Trackers, and many other device-driven systems are being retired or replaced as Hyperion makes a major shift toward Verse and Scene Graph.
This isn't just a technical change. It fundamentally changes what we're able to build.
Hyperion's gameplay systems are being rebuilt to be far more modular, contextual, performant, and controllable. Rather than working around the limitations of traditional Creative devices, systems can communicate directly with one another and react dynamically to the state of each match.
Loot is one example. Loot pools can now be fully contextual. If a match selects a specific Chapter or themed loot pool, everything surrounding that pool can adapt with it, including respawn loadouts, Mythic and Exotic rewards, chest contents, and other gameplay systems. No more receiving weapons that don't belong to the current loot pool simply because a separate device couldn't account for the match's context.
And that's only one example.
There are several much larger systemic reworks we aren't ready to discuss yet. Many of these need extensive private playtesting before we're comfortable showing them publicly, because Season 1 is where we're taking Hyperion's Battle Royale gameplay much more seriously.
Season 1 will also introduce entirely new gameplay systems designed to reward different playstyles, choices, and accomplishments. Some elements won't simply disappear when a match ends, what you accomplish can carry forward, helping shape your progression and future as a Reality Diver.
This is a major evolution of Hyperion, both technically and creatively, and there's much more we haven't shown yet.
We hope you're looking forward to Hyperion: Season 1.

We are aware of an issue in Hyperion Public Beta where all of the cliffs have errors in their rendering. This happened when UEFN and Fortnite shifted to Unreal Engine 6.
We plan to address this, and many other issues in Hyperion Season 1, which is in development.
Stay tuned.

The playground will not replace the BR mode as the BR mode will receive regular updates. The playgroudn will only get bug fixes and new versions when new seasons launch for the main Hyperion BR.

Hyperion has officially entered Public Beta!
You no longer need an island code to play. Hyperion is now publicly available through Discovery, simply search for Hyperion and jump in.
This release marks the beginning of the Pre-Season. There will still be bugs, issues, balancing changes, and plenty of improvements to come, but for the first time, Hyperion is open for everyone to experience.
After everything it took to get here, the doors are finally open.
This is just the beginning. Welcome to Hyperion.

🚨 HYPERION BATTLE ROYALE - PUBLIC PLAYTEST IS LIVE!
IT’S FINALLY TIME.
After all this time, the Hyperion Battle Royale Public Playtest is officially open!
🎮 ISLAND CODE: 7485-3501-5005
Set your matchmaking region to NA-East, ready up, and jump in! You can also play privately with your own group, but if you want the full experience, join us on NA-East to play alongside the developers and the rest of the community.
📸 SHARE EVERYTHING!
You are 100% allowed and encouraged to share Hyperion. Post your clips, screenshots, funny moments, discoveries, wins, fails, or anything else you capture. Share the island code with your friends and bring them along too!
If you post something or leave feedback, any of the developers, or @BiomeForge so we can see it.
⚠️ REMEMBER: THIS IS A PLAYTEST
This is NOT the full release of Hyperion.
You're playing an unfinished version specifically so we can put the map through its paces with real players. There will be bugs. There will probably be a lot of them. Things may break, balance may be completely off, and some features may not work as intended.
That's exactly why we're doing this.
If you encounter problems, please report them through our Discord or leave them in my Twitter replies/comments. Feedback on gameplay, balancing, performance, bugs, and the overall experience is extremely valuable.
Most importantly: have fun. Explore the island, fight each other, break things, make some memories, and help us make Hyperion better.
SEE YOU ON THE ISLAND. 🌎

Just finished playtesting Hyperion by @BiomeForge & @EDMIRE2k.👇
- Locations and the Map are original, and VERY well made!
- Lighting and graphics are absolutely PHENOMENAL, especially in 4K.
I give it a solid: 9.75/10. Very well made and captures the true capabilities of UEFN!
