Tether Brings USDT Back to Bitcoin With RGB Rollout
Tether, issuer of USDT, the world’s largest stablecoin, plans to issue USDT natively on Bitcoin through RGB protocol v0.11.1, with UTEXO leading the commercial rollout. The move would bring USDT back to the Bitcoin network, where it first launched in 2014 through Omni-Mastercoin. RGB will allow users to send and receive USDT between Bitcoin addresses and compatible wallets, with UTEXO saying the feature could go live as early as July and be supported later by Tether Wallet and multiple exchanges.

Why we’re doing this:
This upgrade is a critical step in preparing for the full launch of mainnet RGB assets with stable support for onchain atomic swap after extensive tests and fixes. We’re laying the foundation for greater stability, performance, and scalability so the entire ecosystem can operate at its full potential. We will provide regular updates and a final confirmation once all work is successfully completed and services are fully restored.

we are getting to production readiness with RGB.
Many of us have waited far too long and the devs have not given up on this precious bitcoin promise. The team plans to enjoy a weekend of edgecase testing of RGB21<>BTC atomic swaps.

first thing after coming back from @TheBitcoinConf Vegas was to test the latest implementation of UDA (RGB21) and bitcoin atomic swaps onchain. So far i like what i see. i will keep testing throughout the day looking for edge cases.
As we bring RGB to production, Art which is the oldest asset class in human history will benefit greatly from $USDT issance on bitcoin as both on the same RGB protocol.
This is something ordinals lacked and why I never added ordinals support into BitMask.
A new dawn is coming!
