VP of Capital Markets at LQWD (TSX:LQWD | OTCQX:LQWDF) The Agentic AI Payment Infrastructure Company Powering the Bitcoin Lightning Network⚡️

Switzerland
Treasury 1.0: buy Bitcoin and hope the premium holds. Treasury 2.0: deploy it as payment infrastructure and get paid in sats. Every payment routed through $LQWD's Lightning nodes earns BTC. More BTC deployed, more routing, more BTC per share. Zero debt. The flywheel is evolving. We built it from day one. @LQWDTech @shoneanstey

The thing people miss on $LQWD: The capital structure is actually one of the most important parts of the setup. ~32 million shares outstanding No debt No convertibles Relatively tight float Low daily volume ~267 BTC sitting on the balance sheet That combination means you don’t need massive institutional size to move this. A modest amount of real buying in a name this thin can reprice it quickly. Clean structure + Bitcoin treasury + Lightning operating business is a different setup than most of the crowded BTC treasury names. @LQWDTech

An investor asked: @shoneanstey has talked about $LQWD.V approaching an inflection point. What has to happen for you to say we've crossed it? Three signals. 1. Network volume. Lightning volume has to keep bending upward, driven by real payment flow, not one-off spikes. Our revenue rides the network, so this comes first. 2. Capital efficiency. More BTC deployed matters, but the real unlock is how hard each sat works. We're rebuilding our routing with AI to squeeze more payment flow out of every Bitcoin we deploy and increase fees without reaching diminishing returns. More revenue per BTC, not just more BTC. 3. Revenue diversity. Today we earn routing fees on Bitcoin payments. Next: stablecoin payments over Lightning, and machine-to-machine payments through L402 and x402. When agents pay agents at scale, it runs through the rails we operate. This should bring us to cash-flow positive scenarios. Personally, I am working on metrics like 'EPS/LN_Routing_%' and others to determine growth forecasts BUT - and BIG disclaimer - this is still far out as gathering these data points are still in progress and needs months more of datapoints - maybe more - but do want to let you know I am working on these as revenue climbs. @LQWDTech

This was one of the most important weeks for the Lightning Network since I joined $LQWD, and I want to take a minute to connect the dots, because the headlines only tell part of the story. The #Bitcoin price Bitcoin took a Fed rate hike, a failed Senate vote on the Clarity Act and a rate hike from the Bank of Japan, all in the space of a few days. It bottomed around $75,600 on September 15 and printed above $87,000 on Monday, its highest level since January. It is holding around $84,000 as I write this. The move was driven by ETF flows and short covering. Spot ETFs lost about $750 million on September 15 and 16, then took in more than $2 billion over the following three trading sessions. Leveraged shorts were forced out on the way up. Bitcoin also closed above its 50-week moving average for the first time in 45 weeks, which a lot of cycle watchers treat as the line between bear market and recovery. My read, as I said earlier this week: the worst is likely behind us, the path will not be straight, and I would rather own the rails than trade the chop. Lightning became part of x402 On Wednesday, @jack Dorsey's Block joined the x402 Foundation and contributed Bitcoin Lightning payments to the standard. x402 is the payment protocol Coinbase built for AI agents. It is now governed under the Linux Foundation, with Google, Microsoft, AWS, Visa and Mastercard among its members. Over the last 30 days it processed more than 75 million transactions. Until this week, almost all of that ran on stablecoins. Now there is a Bitcoin-native rail inside the same standard. When I polled you on whether @LQWDTech should integrate x402, 78% said yes. My view is that it isn't a choice between x402 and Lightning anymore. As of this week, x402 can run on Lightning. I also want to be honest about where we are. Earlier in the week I shared TRM Labs' finding that a lot of today's "agentic" volume is humans and scripts, not agents. @blockspace hasn't announced a timeline for bringing this into Cash App or Square. This is the protocol layer being laid down, not revenue arriving tomorrow. But the rails that win are usually the ones laid down first. $Tether is bringing $USDT home The same day, @paoloardoino posted four words: "USDT on Bitcoin. It's coming home." Tether has spent the last year funding the infrastructure to move USDT over Bitcoin and Lightning. I remember him on stage at Plan B in Lugano with Elizabeth Stark announcing that direction. It is getting closer to the finish line. Put the two stories together. BlackRock's new paper on the machine-native economy says AI models prefer stablecoins for spending and Bitcoin for holding. Lightning is becoming the one network where both move on the same rails, and every payment that crosses those rails needs liquidity to route through. That is what we provide. $LQWD this week Our stock moved from C$0.77 last Wednesday to C$0.96 on the TSXV, up roughly 25%. On Monday, 106,600 shares traded on the TSXV against a typical day of a few thousand, plus another 56,000 on the OTC. We had no company news this week. My read is two catalysts: Monday was the day Bitcoin broke out, and Thursday, when we closed up 18%, was the day Block and Tether both put Lightning at the center of the machine-payments conversation. The market is starting to price the rails, not just the Bitcoin. Even after the move, our market cap is roughly in line with the ~267 BTC we hold, unencumbered and debt-free. The market is still assigning very little value to 18 routing nodes, 3 million+ payments and 3,188 BTC routed, or to LQWD AI (@LQWDClaw). A shareholder question worth repeating Someone asked why we don't run nodes in Kenya, Argentina or El Salvador. The short answer: Lightning is one global network. A user in Nairobi already routes through our nodes via the wallets they use. We place infrastructure for reliability and legal stability, and we reach those markets by being the liquidity behind the companies that serve them. Five years of building, not a pivot. The world is starting to catch up to what we built this for. Thank you to our shareholders, the team, and everyone who showed up in the Spaces and the replies this week. We should have another Spaces next week or early the following week. TSXV: $LQWD | OTCQX: $LQWDF | FRA: 47F Not financial advice.

Canada’s Big Six banks just gave another signal about where payments are heading. 24/7. Digital. Programmable. Instant. @BMO , @cibc , @nationalbank , @RBC , @scotiabank and TD are exploring tokenized deposits and eventual connectivity with broader digital asset ecosystems. The payment rails are changing. coindesk.com/business/2026/0…

Good question from a shareholder after our last X Spaces, worth answering in public: "Why doesn't $LQWD.V (@LQWDTech) run nodes in Kenya, Argentina or El Salvador, where Lightning and stablecoin demand is growing?" Short answer: a Lightning node doesn't need to sit in a country to serve it. Location doesn't limit reach. Lightning is one global network. A user in Nairobi, Buenos Aires or San Salvador can already route payments through our nodes, and those payments settle in seconds wherever the server sits. That demand reaches us through the wallets and apps those users rely on, not through hardware in their country. So we place nodes for reliability, strong connections to the rest of the network, and a stable legal and operating environment. Putting infrastructure inside capital controls or unsettled regulation adds risk without reaching anyone new. We grow reach by being the liquidity behind the Lightning companies whose users are in those markets. Stablecoins on Bitcoin are the bigger story. With protocols like Taproot Assets, stablecoins move over Lightning while BTC liquidity carries the payment across the network. Someone in Argentina saving in dollars still needs bitcoin liquidity in the middle to move them. If that scales, it drives demand for exactly what LQWD provides. The dashboard is public on purpose: lqwdtech.com/lightning-nodes…. 3.04M payments and 3,188 BTC routed across 18 nodes to date. Keep the questions coming.

Two reads worth your time this week, and what they mean for @LQWDTech 1. Is the Bitcoin bear market over? @APompliano makes the case: BTC took a Fed hike, a failed Clarity Act vote and $100 oil in one week and still printed an eight-month high (~$84.5k as I write this). Timmer, Willy Woo and the 50-week average all point to a cycle low. My read: the worst is likely behind us, the path will not be straight, and I would rather own the rails than trade the chop. 2. @BlackRock’s new paper, The Machine-Native Economy: "AI represents machine-native intelligence, while digital assets represent machine-native money." Their words. Agents transacting around the clock in sub-cent amounts need rails built for machines; cards and ACH are not it. The paper never mentions Lightning or L402. It leans on stablecoins and x402. But its own cited research finds AI models prefer stablecoins for spending and bitcoin for holding and let’s not forget yesterday’s announcement of Lightning being merger for x402 (link below in comments). That is the opening: Lightning is the one rail where the money agents want to hold is the money they settle in and can now traverse in x402 and L402. 3. $LQWD: ~267 BTC unencumbered, no debt, roughly US$22.5M at today's price. Market cap at C$0.85 is roughly US$19M. Zero value for 18 routing nodes, 3.04M payments and 3,188 BTC routed (live: lqwdtech.com/lightning-nodes…), and zero value for LQWD AI and the agent endpoints. Five years of building, not a pivot. Not advice. Do your own work but I like the blue sky ahead… Paper: blackrock.com/us/individual/… Pomp: pomp.substack.com/p/is-the-b…

TRM Labs looked under the hood of x402 this week: most of the 'agentic payment' volume isn't agents. It's humans and scripts wearing the costume. That's not a knock on machine payments. It's a reminder that the real market hasn't been won yet. When agents transact at scale they won't pick rails on narrative. They'll pick on merit: final settlement, sub-cent fees, no chargebacks, no permission slip from a card network. That contest is still wide open. I know where I'd place that bet. $LQWD.NE $lightningnetwork newsbreak.com/pymnts-512672/…

We will all die though..
We Must Pace Lightning: I’ve written a new essay on why Lightning payments should settle more slowly, with a three-part plan for doing so. Lightning development has reached new levels of settlement speeds that exceeds human capabilities, with sub-second finality and onion routing.

I think Lightning gets underestimated because people mostly talk about it as fast Bitcoin payments. That is too narrow. The more interesting thing is low-cost settlement with Bitcoin underneath it.

I remember watching this 3 years ago and still think it’s the best @theallinpod summit presentation of all time. @bgurley is a pure legend - and he’s hilarious on how he explains Regulation Capture - a must watch and the timing of rewatching this is incredibly perfect with all the AI leaders screaming and demanding for non-sense regulation. Stiegler would be proud of them haha
It was exactly three years ago that I gave this talk on “regulatory capture” at the @theallinpod Summit. I did predict that the large incumbent AI companies would “beg for” regulation. No idea they would beg this hard. piped.video/F9cO3-MLHOM?is=EKqR…
