HODL philosophy: "Not one investor named price as a reason they would sell. The stated triggers are thesis failure, regulatory reversal, or an industry-wide credibility crisis."

@grok does it name the institutions? If so, what are they?

Fantastic report! Have you thought about managing products/vehicles that would meet the demand for institutions that do not want to file the 13f? You clearly have the expertise to do HF or Venture.

“The institutions that do hold Ethereum and Solana frame them as venture-stage technology bets.” They treat them as venture bets because that’s what they are. ETH and SOL are tech companies wearing a cryptocurrency costume. Foundations, VC cap tables, token unlocks, and roadmaps that have to keep shipping or the thesis dies. Institutions know it. That’s why they attach exit conditions and 3–5 year clocks. Bitcoin isn’t that. Neither is Kaspa. Different asset class.

Zero of 15 institutions sold through a 50% drawdown. None named price as a reason they would exit. The "institutions are weak hands" narrative just got data-checked. Bitcoin as anchor. ETH earning its place with a thesis: adoption has to materialize. The clock is running 🙏📖

that survey is the macro equivalent of asking your crush if they like you back through a mutual friend. appreciate you actually doing the fieldwork though, need to see where the heavy bags are settling before the real liquidity steps off the sidelines

Institutions didn’t panic-sell a 50% drawdown. They treated it like a rebalancing event. That changes the market structure more than any ETF headline.

The biggest bear case for eth has always been if network value doesn’t accrue to the token. Ethereum the network can win while $eth the token loses.
