"Any of our daughters could be Jane Doe" No, because one of the major reasons that Jane Doe decided that she was raped was that her own peers called her mean names. This suggests that not everyone can be Jane Doe.
As a father of two daughters, I’m deeply disgusted and angered by the story coming out of Cornell. Sexual assault is a crime, not a campus disciplinary matter. New York should require allegations to be immediately referred to qualified law enforcement for an independent investigation, with a special prosecutor when appropriate. Universities have a responsibility to protect their students and enforce their own codes of conduct, but they should not be the ones determining whether a potential crime occurred. Any of our daughters could be Jane Doe, and they deserve better. We need to make sure that anyone who commits sexual violence, and anyone who knowingly enables or conceals it, is held accountable.

She won't comment on a Facebook post because Letitia James committed a serious ethical violation by speaking prejudicially about a case that she was already reviewing. Not commenting further is the best course of action when you've already messed up.
NEW: Attorney General Letitia James refuses to answer questions about her social media post affirming the Cornell 7 rape allegations before she was appointed to investigate them. REPORTER: "On your Facebook page three days ago, you wrote, 'What this young woman has been forced to endure is horrific and unacceptable... We stand with you.' Why did you affirm her allegations as fact without doing your own fact-finding investigation?" HOCHUL: "I will answer that. I have every confidence in our attorney general to... look at the facts, examine the record, and draw the proper conclusions." REPORTER: "Attorney General, please." JAMES: "I will not comment on a Facebook post."

Title IX investigations should be banned. Schools should not be investigating serious crimes. They use extremely low burdens of proof and provide the accused with almost zero rights. The police should be investigating serious crimes, not random people.

There's a very good chance that Letitia James broke professional conduct rules by making prejudicial comments about the Cornell 7. The Bar Association's Rule 3.6 states very, very clearly that attorneys involved in civil or criminal proceedings may not make out of court comments that pose a substantial likelihood of prejudicing a case. Letitia James clearly violated this rule. The next step is filing complaints with the New York Bar Association, which anyone can do. You do not need to be a lawyer to file an ethics complaint.

Hochul is doing this because it's not about right or wrong, but about the polls. She's running for re-election and needs every bit of help that she can possibly get. Justice be damned.
Reporter: "Attorney General, on your Facebook page three days ago, you wrote, ‘What this young woman has been forced to endure is horrific and unacceptable. I'm holding her in my heart and in my prayers. To her and to all survivors, you're not alone. We stand with you.’ Why did you affirm her allegations as fact without doing your own fact-finding investigation? And to the governor, why did you appoint an official who made a public statement affirming those allegations as fact as someone who's supposed to be doing an investigation?” New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D): “I will answer that. I have every confidence in our Attorney General to do what she has always done. Look at the facts, examine the record, and draw the proper conclusions. That's exactly what's going to happen in this case. Attorney General, please.” New York Attorney General Letitia James: “I will not comment on a Facebook post.” Great question!

Why is her consent the only one invalidated by ketamine usage? This sounds like sex-based discrimination. Do you discriminate against your patients in your medical practice, too?
8 on 1 is not consent. Once ketamine enters the picture - definitely not consent. I have given patients ketamine as an anesthetic for nearly 20 years - not one person I would ever consider consentable regardless of “level of consciousness”. This is all around atrocious. nypost.com/2026/10/01/us-new…

These people keep calling it a loophole, but it's simply common sense. If you can't consent while drunk, then millions of New Yorkers are rapists. That woman that hooked up with an intoxicated guy? She's now a rapist. They aren't going to like what they reap by changing the law.
A young woman bravely reported that she was sexually assaulted in 2024 by seven men at their fraternity. But instead of protecting her, Cornell University protected her abusers, letting them off with a slap on the wrist. It’s outrageous and a failure of both the institution and a societal norm that consistently makes light of sexual assault. The law isn’t helping. New York’s voluntary intoxication loophole makes it nearly impossible for survivors to seek justice if they drank or used substances prior to an assault. Because of this loophole, Jane Doe’s assailants may never be held accountable under the law. I want my daughters to grow up in a world that is safe. Women deserve to feel safe on campus. That means perpetrators must be held accountable for violating women to the fullest extent of the law. And we need federal action to ensure that those who commit sexual assault and the institutions that protect them face consequences.

This is unconstitutional. The government cannot compel a company or individual to reveal controversial or politically charged information, outside of some extremely narrow instances that don't apply here.
Gavin Newsom uses the open of his podcast to sign a bill forcing companies to dig for slavery ties -- and make them public. "This is a bill that requires large companies that operated before 1965 to search their records for ties to slavery, going back to 1849." "And then we make it public." "Accountability starts with the truth." He's announcing the launch of a corporate guilt record to set the stage for reparations, set to a cheesy soundtrack. This guy wants to be president.

FYI, this is an admission of sex-based discrimination and will be used against you by potential employees. In fact, the burden of proof will be shifted to you. You will have to prove that you didn't discriminate. Best of luck in bankruptcy court.
I work at a large finance firm and hire interns/new grads. If a man applies and I see he was part of a frat. Resume is going straight into the shredder.

According to the New York Times, Jane Doe decided that she was raped when she was uninvited to a Halloween party. This is starting to look more and more like a "rape by regret" case.

What "drunk people can't consent" really means is: "drunk women can't consent" They ultimately believe that women are lesser beings that are incapable of being held accountable for their own actions. They fundamentally believe that women are children and that the state is their ward.
If drunk people cannot consent, what happens when two drunk people hookup? Are they both assaulting each other? If drunk people cannot consent, why do we charge people with DUI? They couldn't consent to driving, they were drunk.

Cornell has exposed itself to serious liability in its handling of the Jane Doe case. Title IX strictly forbids universities from applying rules differently based on sex. The title IX investigation applied these rules only to the accused and not Jane Doe. Jane Doe's own statement says that some of the accused were more intoxicated than she was.

Lmao. The organized crime experts must be pulling their hair out right about now.
#BREAKING: BC Supreme Court Justice Catherine Murray has ruled that banning people from possessing drugs for trafficking purposes is unconstitutional, claiming such laws "discriminate" against drug users and violate their right to "life, liberty, and the security of person."

This is also how the real world works. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act does not protect intraracial slurs. Your employer has a legal duty to fire a black man that says the nword.
Black Marvel Rivals creator muted for 30 days for saying the N word after the Black community demanded stricter racism enforcement from the devs He cant even q, well they asked for this he should not be complain now
