They doubted you. Laughed at you. Left you there when you were already fucked and didn’t even care whether you got back up.
And sometimes it ain’t strangers. That’s the part nobody prepares you for. It’s family. Your partner. Your best mate. Someone you loved every fucking day and genuinely thought loved you the same.
Good.
Welcome to your origin story.
One day people are gonna look at what you built and ask what made you like this. Where did that hunger come from? Why didn’t you quit when any normal person probably would’ve?
This. This is where it came from.
You got snaked. You got betrayed. You got painted like the villain in somebody else’s story. You had people watch you drown who could’ve reached their hand out and didn’t.
Sounds dark as fuck because it is.
But some lessons can’t be bought. There ain’t enough money on this planet to teach you what betrayal teaches you when it comes from somebody you trusted with your life. That shit changes your eyes.
Look at every great character people remember from films, anime, mythology, whatever. Their story rarely starts with everything going perfectly. Something gets taken. Somebody switches. Their whole world gets ripped apart and they’re forced to find out what the fuck they’re actually made of.
That’s you now.
And yeah, while you’re living through it, you don’t feel chosen. You feel punished. You’re sitting there thinking, “why the fuck is it always me?”
I know.
Then years later you realise that was the furnace.
That was the part that killed the weak version of you. The version that trusted too easily. Needed approval. Thought everybody had the same heart.
So never be ashamed of the darkest chapter.
That chapter is probably gonna be the one you talk about when everything finally makes sense.
Your origin story ain’t there to destroy you.
It’s there to explain the monster you became.
