Might be the most beautiful looking film I've seen in ages Was genuinely curious how they were going to start this film, seems that right in the thick of things with a passionate rehearsal of the upcoming big moment was perfect Pattinson is electric in his portrayal of a man clearly motivated by the right to good, while also being an entertainer at heart. This film is as whimsy as it is intense, and I was absolutely locked in by the first 10m and didn't even bother to think about how it would end I really didn't want it to, either... the hazy neon aesthetic, closeups, silhouette shots, and using weather as a tool to showcase emotion had my jaw on the floor the entire time. While it was fun to ooo and ahhh at the technicals, the writing and story itself I found deeply fascinating, highlighting the powerlessness one of the ugliest and unfortunately timeless aspects of the human race. The delivery from Pattinson just really made that sink in. Underneath the narrative and theatrics was the score. I don't think I've heard a score with this much range from traditional orchestra to 00's internet core, it never lets you get bored I cannot wait to see this film again
