At a @SBJ forum yesterday, Braves’ President and CEO (Derek Schiller) was asked about Nashville’s MLB expansion push;
“I love Nashville. Just a reminder, Tennessee is part of our territory. We’re going to be very protective of that territory.”
MLB teams’ DMA (Designated Market Area) is 150 miles. Nashville and Charlotte fall within that range for Atlanta, Raleigh does not.
Teams will have a say in expansion candidates. When it comes to the Southeast region, Braves are the top dog. Others WILL align with their opinion. #RaleighOnDeck
