Putting terrorists and aggressors on the same moral plane as their victims and targets is repugnant. At best it whitewashes horrible crimes, at worst it feeds the culture of murder and martyrdom that Hamas espouses.
This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss.
The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes.
Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment.
To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.

Police are such bullshitters. They’re actively admitting they only ban protests if the risk of disorder is high. But they know Jews are law abiding, behave like decent people and aren’t violent. And their reward? Pro-Hamas protests go ahead. Two-tier.

That was a common response to us urging students not to hold a pro-Palestine protest on Oct 7.
We can't ban protests & can only ask the Home Sec to do so if the risk of serious disorder is so high that it can’t be managed by conditions.
That's not the case here.

This is Vivian Silver.
She spent decades driving Palestinians from Gaza to the hospital, working tirelessly for peace. She spent a decade advocating for Gaza and raising awareness.
On October 7th Hamas burned her alive and the western left stood up and cheered.
I don't like Israelis but they aren't rotten.
Palestinians literally spent 10 years becoming close friends with Israeli peace activists near Gaza so that they could map out the towns and then gave the information to Hamas so on October 7th terrorists could rape and kill them

The first job of government is to protect its citizens. How then can this be called a government?
We are through the looking glass now. Police have put an entire British town under a Section 34 dispersal order (meaning they can even order residents to leave and not return) just so they can import a boat full of illegal immigrants.

Yes, according to Gaza's Government Media Office, about 137,000 births have been recorded since October 7, 2023. Reported deaths stand around 74,000. Even including typical natural mortality, births exceed total deaths. High pre-war fertility rates explain the difference from historical cases of mass killing that caused sharp population declines.

I will never forget seeing Shani Louk’s mangled body in the back of that truck, as people laughed, celebrated, beat her and spat on her.
I also won’t forget the reaction to it that I saw from some people here in Ireland. One of my old 'friends' had a picture of it on their Instagram story, posted in celebration.
One thing I will never understand is how any woman could excuse away that complete and utter barbarism - that disregard for the life and body of another human being, another woman. How any woman could excuse that, let alone celebrate it.
October 7th took the mask off a lot of people. There are people here in Ireland whom I will never be able to look at in the same way again.
May Shani’s memory be a blessing. I cannot imagine what she experienced in her final moments.
