Playing with a pinhole viewer in preparation for tomorrow’s #Eclipse . We’re NOT in the path of totality, but we’ll be able to see about 50% coverage.
This enclosed viewer shows the trees (or siblings) behind.
ALT My kids using a cardboard box as a pinhole viewer
My youngest child just went outside onto the sidewalk and started screeching like a pterodactyl.
Then he screeched, “CAN ANYBODY HEAR ME?”
We replied, “YES, WE ALL CAN!”
He said, “CAN ANYBODY NOT MY FAMILY HEAR ME?”
🙄
I get interrupted a lot by kids while working-from-home.
I just found code I hadn't checked in...
I figured I should clean it up before checking it in...
But I found that the cleanup was already done! I just don't remember doing it....
Thanks, Friendly-Coding-Ghost! 🙂
We just posted the next video in our "Founder Series." Check it out to meet legendary game designer Kris Zierhut, who I've worked with for many years:

Pretty excited about our progress at Unleashed Games.
Our first code commit was just over 6 months ago.
Here's some footage from our most recent playtest:

I’m in Santa Barbara for the week, and we were lucky enough to get an incredible view of the SpaceX launch tonight.
The slight fog made for an incredible view once the sunlight was hitting it from beyond the horizon.

This is weird to say out loud, but I actually am kinda an expert in rate limiting, so I'm gonna explain some stuff.
About half of incidents in large-scale production systems involve having more requests than you can serve. There are two categories of this kind of incident:
I recently did an interview with @joshcorbettpods from “Countdown to Classic” in which we discussed my start on the Classic team, some fun stories from development, and my new job at Unleashed Games (@unleashedgames)
Starting a new game is so weird.
I spent the last 17 years in a custom engine learning all its quirks and oddities.
Today's off-the-shelf tools are amazingly powerful, but have an entirely new set of quirks and oddities to learn.

Happy to say I’m starting a company with user experience pioneer, Irena Pereira, and we’re participating is the Speedrun acceleration program!
Irena put together an incredible team of partners and I couldn’t be happier to work with them.
We actually got the news about participating in Speedrun while I was traveling cross-country, so I booked a short-notice roundtrip flight to San Francisco, and ditched @blamdarot with all 3 kids in Fort Worth, TX...
I have a very supportive personal partner too! ❤️
