Welcome to France. Where simply comparing 100 year old footage to today is a radicalising event.

Austinites! Vote for Proposition I on November 3. (What are they trying hide?)
Six Austin City Council members are campaigning against an audit of the city government they run. Proposition I on the Nov ballot would require Austin to bring in an outside firm to regularly audit City Hall for waste. Last week, council members Vanessa Fuentes, José Velásquez, Chito Vela, Ryan Alter, Mike Siegel and Zohaib Qadri rallied against it. Three of them (Fuentes, Vela and Alter) sit on the Audit and Finance Committee, the body that's supposed to oversee city spending. They did vote for the city's ersatz audit earlier this year, but that’s the one shaped by the city workers' union protecting their jobs. The main group running the campaign against Prop I is a PAC called Austinites for Equity, funded mostly by $50,000 from the city workers' union. Several of these council members know it well. In 2024, it worked to help elect or support Fuentes, Vela and Siegel. In 2025, Fuentes' own campaign gave it $6,000. So the officials being audited, the union representing the employees being audited, and the PAC both of them have funded are all on the same side, against letting voters decide how to audit their city.

Be sure to vote!
I’m French. I want to talk to Americans who are about to vote Democrat. Not to insult you. To warn you. I come from your future. In France we did everything your progressive politicians promise. Free healthcare, free college, generous welfare, strong unions, heavy regulation, high taxes on the rich, a state that takes care of everything. Public spending close to 57% of GDP, one of the highest on the planet. On paper, it’s the dream. Here’s what it looks like from the inside. France hasn’t passed a balanced budget since 1974. Our debt is above 3,300 billion euros. Interest on that debt is becoming one of the biggest items in the national budget. Our hospitals are collapsing despite record funding. Our schools rank lower every year. Young people with degrees can’t afford an apartment in the city they were born in. Our best engineers leave for London, Zurich and San Francisco. And the rich you wanted to tax? They left too, and took the jobs with them. The promise was protection. The result is stagnation. The worst part is that nobody in France voted for decline. Every single step sounded generous, compassionate, reasonable. One more program. One more regulation. One more tax to fund it. Each step alone makes sense. Fifty years of them, and you wake up in a country that can no longer build a nuclear plant on time or keep its streets safe. I love America because it’s the one place on earth where people still believe they can build something from nothing. I came to Silicon Valley as a self-taught kid and it changed my life. That spirit is the most precious thing your country has. Before you vote, ask yourself one question: is the program you’re voting for making America more like America, or more like France? Trust me. You don’t want to be France.

Everyone loves civilization until civilization asks them to enforce the rules that keep barbarism outside the gate. The safest people in history have developed the strangest contempt for the very mechanisms that made them safe. You cannot demand protection from evil while treating every instrument capable of stopping evil as morally suspect. The hypocrisy of the soft West is wanting consequences to exist somewhere, somehow, without ever having to look at them. Public execution after due process is righteous, moral, and has a deterring effect. We have become so soft and weak on crime that any accountability feels like fascism. All of the fittest genetics in human history have brought you here to see this post here, now. You’ve descended from dangerous men. For God’s sake, act like it.

They cheated Biden by nullifying 14 million primary voters They cheated Bernie Sanders twice. He knew. But he didn't stand and fight for the Bernie Bros They cheated Jasmine Crockett, no fan of hers, but they did to use unelectable James Talarico. They raised money off of him. That's it. They cheated Graham Platner, again after raising hella money off his campaign. They cheated Francesca Hong to put in unelectable Mohammad El-Sayed, again, to raise tons of dough. After all, the DNC is dead broke. They cheated Spencer Pratt and now in the process of cheating Karen Bass for a DSA nut. They knew about Eric Swalwell, but used him til he got too ambitious They falsely imprisoned Rod Blagovich to make room for Barry Sotero And on and on we go But they would NEVER cheat the American people in a stolen election to usher in an autopen aka free-for-all for the Marxists who hate us, now would they?

In Japan, foreigners stop noticing about 14 days in. Not because the magic wears off. Because the magic becomes the floor you walk on without thinking. The bow at midnight. The wallet that comes home. The 7-year-old on the subway. The line of 40,000 with no police needed. Each one alone is a story. Together they are a country. Japan also has roughly 1,300 years of writing about how to be kind to the next person you pass. Not because the writing is enforced. Because the writing is breathed. Think about the last time your own country made a stranger feel safer than they expected to. Think about whether that happened by policy. Or by the quiet choice of a million people. Japan built a different floor. Not paved by law. Not patrolled by force. Just expected. Of everyone. Always. 🇯🇵

The labor participation rate is 61.5%. Excluding COVID, it is the lowest in 50 years. There are plenty of people to fill jobs. The Democrat policies are about two things. First, cheap labor for the rich. Two, millions of Democrat voters to ensure a permanent D majority.
Chuck Schumer: “Our ultimate goal” is to give every illegal alien citizenship. Democrats want to remake the electorate and replace American citizens. They will immediately reopen the border again if they take back power.

My experience in the software industry is the same. They're not better, just cheaper.
Vice President JD Vance on H1-B visas: "If you’re going to bring in an accountant making $45,000 a year to replace an accountant who is an American making $60,000 a year, that’s not you using the program to bring in a genius. That’s you destroying American jobs and defrauding the American people... my view is the H1-B program is completely broken."
