Jonah McSwain is one of South Carolina’s most lights-out shooters. The 6’2” combo guard from Gaffney, South Carolina, is entering his senior season after a number of impressive summer and fall showings. McSwain is a player you can never afford to lose track of due to his elite three-point shooting and cerebral playmaking. He plays with the right feel at the point guard position while showing a strong understanding of how to find open space and get his shot off the catch in the halfcourt. Throughout each season, McSwain has continued to expand his game beyond being simply a knockdown shooter, developing into a true combo guard and one of the more dangerous offensive players in the Carolinas. He possesses an effortless jumper that he can get off with ease both off the catch and off the dribble. Odita Aguolu is one of Virginia’s premier breakout candidates heading into the 2026-27 season. The 6’6” wing is entering his senior season at the Miller School of Albemarle in Charlottesville, Virginia, and has shown all the signs of taking his game to the next level. After helping Miller capture its third consecutive state championship, Aguolu took charge this summer at DMV Live, where he emerged as a consistent standout throughout the event. In the first session, Aguolu averaged 22.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 50% from the field and 43% from three-point range on high efficiency. Aguolu was a fierce downhill aggressor, consistently attacking the basket, finishing through contact, and utilizing his athleticism to play above the rim. His perimeter shooting also appeared significantly improved, as he knocked down multiple shots from well beyond the arc. He positioned himself effectively in both the halfcourt and transition, generating fast-break opportunities while finding open spots off the ball for catch-and-shoot threes. As a playmaker, Aguolu made quick reads and delivered timely passes to open teammates, creating opportunities within the flow of the offense. Defensively, he showcased his versatility and length, guarding multiple positions while moving his feet well and applying pressure to opposing ball handlers. Reece Jackson is one of the most improved guard prospects in the state of South Carolina. The 6'2" combo guard from Columbia, South Carolina, is entering his junior year at Richland Northeast as the program enters a new era under first-year head coach Christian Savage. Jackson is an explosive athlete with a plus wingspan who can score the ball on all three levels while consistently causing problems on the defensive end. This summer, Jackson has showcased significant improvement as a perimeter shooter, developing into a reliable catch-and-shoot threat from beyond the arc. When given space, he can break down defenders with a quick handle and attacking moves, creating separation to get into his mid-range jumper or attack the rim. He is also a crafty finisher around the basket with either hand and has showcased the ability to rise up and finish above the rim. Defensively, Jackson uses his quickness and lateral movement to his advantage. He does a great job sliding with his opponent and has shown strong timing and instincts as a shot blocker, both on the perimeter and when attacking the basket. Miller is full of upside, pairing an explosive vertical ability and crafty guard skills with a long, athletic frame. His left-handed jumper is quick and effortless, allowing him to knock down shots both off the dribble and through defensive contests. He is a dangerous point-of-attack finisher who excels at getting downhill, using his length to stretch past defenders before elevating and finishing at the rim.
