A big win in San Angelo. 👏
The San Angelo City Council voted 7-0 yesterday to ratify a new one-year Meet and Confer agreement with the San Angelo Police Officers Coalition.
The agreement includes pay increases to bring salaries to more comparable benchmarks, a new process for out-of-state lateral peace officers, a physical fitness incentive, and a budget for cardiac testing related to presumptive coverage.
SAPOC President and longtime CLEAT member Blue Flores credited CLEAT and Jeff Lake for helping the association navigate a particularly challenging negotiation.
“This year especially could not have been done without CLEAT or Jeff,” he said. “Jeff was prepared for it all and his ability to advocate and tenaciously defend our position was a major benefit.”
Congratulations to SAPOC on getting this agreement across the finish line and continuing to move the profession forward for San Angelo officers. 💪

CLEAT fights for Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office!
Field Representative Pete Faraone went before Lubbock County Commissioners Court to address the consequences of uncompetitive pay at the Sheriff’s Office, including employee turnover, morale, and the continued challenge of retaining experienced officers and detention staff. He also called for transparency surrounding the county’s taxpayer-funded compensation study and urged county leaders to take meaningful action instead of continuing to push the issue down the road.
CLEAT will continue fighting for the men and women who serve Lubbock County and making sure their concerns are heard where decisions are made.
We also want to thank County Judge Parrish and Commissioner Dalby for their support of an across-the-board pay increase for Lubbock County employees. That support matters, and we appreciate their willingness to recognize the need to invest in the people who keep Lubbock County running.

Senior Corporal Cunningham was a CLEAT member, and we join the Dallas Police Department family in mourning his loss and honoring a life dedicated to service. Our thoughts are with all who knew and loved him during this difficult time. 💙
This morning, Senior Corporal Ray Cunningham, #5615, passed away while off duty.
Senior Corporal Cunningham honorably served the Dallas Police Department since 1987 and was a valued member of the South-Central Patrol Division. Throughout his career, he was not only known for his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to the community, but also as a respected and beloved trainer to many officers. His willingness to share his knowledge, experience, and guidance left a lasting impact on those he trained and worked alongside.
Senior Corporal Cunningham was deeply respected and loved by many throughout the department. His presence, mentorship, and genuine care for his fellow coworkers made him a valued member of the Dallas Police Department family, and his loss will be felt throughout the department and the community he proudly served.
His dedication, professionalism, and commitment to the community will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

A big collective bargaining win for Alvin Police Officers Association and Alvin PD.
City Council unanimously approved the salary plan presented by APOA, with Association President Aaron Kincaide representing and CLEAT’s John Kerr serving as negotiator.
The approved plan provides a 3% across-the-board raise and realigns pay steps with 3% differentials to better reflect market salaries, along with improvements to physical fitness pay and compensation for experienced lateral hires.
Congratulations to APOA! We're proud to fight for our locals and secure strong results at the bargaining table!
