Our .ada application is advancing to the next phase of the @ICANN Generic Top-Level Domain (gTLD) Program. If approved, the .ada domain would bring Cardano into the global internet address system, same as .com or .org. The application follows a Governance Action passed with ~75% support from the community.

You can follow live block production on Cardano and see the stake pools closest to you as they mint blocks in real time. It is a live visual display of decentralisation and resilience. Cardano is operated by people across the world, from different backgrounds, jurisdictions, and communities. No single country defines it. No political boundary contains it. No central operator decides where block production happens. It is borderless, permissionless, and politically neutral infrastructure. That is what decentralisation looks like in practice. global.cardano-visualisation…

I saw several people be worried about #Leios being expensive to operate and realized that the cost-estimates were quite outdated. The Linear Leios variant that we proposed in CIP-164 is especially gentle on protocol overhead 👇 github.com/input-output-hk/o… leios.cardano-scaling.org/co…

These are outdated numbers of throughput targets that were never realistic on a global scale and deterministic tx validity. Please check these updated numbers here: github.com/input-output-hk/o…

Cardano has been missing an L2 for DeFi. This week, it gets one! The Sailfish is the fastest fish in the sea. Soon, it will be the fastest (first?) L2 on Cardano. Why? 👇 🐟 Sailfish started as a Layer 2 to make DeFi on Cardano super fast and highly usable. Early versions were built on Hydra but over time it migrated to a rollup architecture to get past Hydra's limitations. And it is the First Rollup to go live on Cardano mainnet. But it's also much more than that. It was built on top of Pondora Smart Accounts so it has built-in support for both intents and account abstraction. Cardano DeFi Users will now be able to experience: 🟢Sub-second trading 🟢Shared liquidity. Your trades can exist on L1 and Sailfish at the same time. A big weakness of L2s. Gone. 🟢Liquidity can gradually flow from current dexes to Sailfish through trading alone. The more you use Pondora, the faster and cheaper your trades become. 🟢Self-custody all the way. Sailfish accounts mirror Pondora accounts, so you keep full custody whether you trade on L1 or L2. Staking rewards. Voting power. All yours. Slowly, but surely, we'll make Cardano DeFi the greatest it's ever been. 🐸

We just submitted our budget proposal: "The Marketing-Powered Demand Engine for Cardano." Here's what it is, what it costs, and why it matters. THE PROBLEM Cardano stands on strong technical foundations. Yet for enterprise decision-makers, it's not an obvious "yes" — not because the technology can't deliver, but because they're missing use-case clarity, proof, and engagement paths. The business world sees Cardano as a respected ecosystem. Not yet as first choice for enterprise infrastructure. THE SOLUTION A complete enterprise demand generation system that repositions Cardano as "The Blockchain for Serious Business." The system operates through a three-stage funnel: Attention →Proof → Qualified Leads. Two recommended blueprint verticals: Institutional DeFi and Supply Chain Traceability — final selection to be validated with the GMC. Three pilot markets: UK, Germany, Switzerland. A central Cardano Hub serves as the evidence and engagement environment. Directly aligned with the Cardano 2030 Strategy Framework — Pillar 2 (Adoption & Utility) and Pillar 4 (Community & Ecosystem Growth), supporting core KPIs: TVL, monthly transactions, and monthly active users. THE INVESTMENT 12-month pilot. Four milestone-gated work packages — each one only unlocked when the previous one delivers. WP4 (V2 Supply Chain) is only released after the Q3 KPI checkpoint passes. Total investment: €2,978,738 (53% media, 47% agency — within industry benchmark). ADA surplus gets returned to the Treasury. WHO WE ARE Serviceplan Group — the only globally ranked agency that has built live Cardano infrastructure, deployed it in production, and holds a formal Cardano Foundation partnership. Official Intersect member. Masumi Network has been on mainnet since November 2024 with 25,000+ on-chain transactions. Independent Network of the Year at Cannes Lions 2025 (19 Lions). #1 globally on WARC Creative 100 and Media 100. 6,500 people, 40+ countries, €866M revenue. Full proposal and brochure in the reply below.👇

Hacking the #EU #AgeVerification app in under 2 minutes. During setup, the app asks you to create a PIN. After entry, the app *encrypts* it and saves it in the shared_prefs directory. 1. It shouldn't be encrypted at all - that's a really poor design. 2. It's not cryptographically tied to the vault which contains the identity data. So, an attacker can simply remove the PinEnc/PinIV values from the shared_prefs file and restart the app. After choosing a different PIN, the app presents credentials created under the old profile and let's the attacker present them as valid. Other issues: 1. Rate limiting is an incrementing number in the same config file. Just reset it to 0 and keep trying. 2. "UseBiometricAuth" is a boolean, also in the same file. Set it to false and it just skips that step. Seriously @vonderleyen - this product will be the catalyst for an enormous breach at some point. It's just a matter of time.
.@vonderleyen "The European #AgeVerification app is technically ready. It respects the highest privacy standards in the world. It's open-source, so anyone can check the code..." I did. It didn't take long to find what looks like a serious #privacy issue. The app goes to great lengths to protect the AV data AFTER collection (is_over_18: true is AES-GCM'd); it does so pretty well. But, the source image used to collect that data is written to disk without encryption and not deleted correctly. For NFC biometric data: It pulls DG2 and writes a lossless PNG to the filesystem. It's only deleted on success. If it fails for any reason (user clicks back, scan fails & retries, app crashes etc), the full biometric image remains on the device in cache. This is protected with CE keys at the Android level, but the app makes no attempt to encrypt/protect them. For selfie pictures: Different scenario. These images are written to external storage in lossless PNG format, but they're never deleted. Not a cache... long-term storage. These are protected with DE keys at the Android level, but again, the app makes no attempt to encrypt/protect them. This is akin to taking a picture of your passport/government ID using the camera app and keeping it just in case. You can encrypt data taken from it until you're blue in the face... leaving the original image on disk is crazy & unnecessary. From a #GDPR standpoint: Biometric data collected is special category data. If there's no lawful basis to retain it after processing, that's potentially a material breach. youtube.com/watch?v=4VRRriyD…

What started as a "Better Hydra" became Sailfish, borrowing strengths from both State Channels and Rollups. What does that mean for you? ➡️ Sub-second settlement. ➡️ Unified L1/L2 liquidity. ➡️ Self-custodial the whole way through. Same Cardano. New speed. Next week 👀

Echo is Live on Mainnet! Excited to introduce Echo - a browser-lightweight Layer 2 built on Cardano smart contracts & powered by Pondora smart accounts! It is the first modular consensus layer that adds decentralized backends to any web3 infrastructure, all while inheriting Cardano's battle-tested security. Coming soon: Sailfish 🐟 This is Cardano's first decentralized, non-custodial Hydra implementation! Echo transforms every smart account into a virtual Hydra participant, making this breakthrough possible. 🐸 We now welcome our incredibly patient Pioneer Community to be a part of Cardano history by setting up your very own Echo nodes.

846 block rollback as the network self repaired. I don't want to shy away from how serious this was, because it was. But so many things about this point to an amazing resiliency under essentially worst case scenario. Genuinely, *genuinely* so impressed with Cardano right now. Give me a few days to do my independent post mortem, all details will be included there!

The Cyber Crystal is the only thing keeping the Toolheads alive! Their source of power, memory, and identity. It pulses with the lifeforce of every Toolhead, binding them together across the digital realm. But the unthinkable has happened — the crystal was destroyed. Now, its shards lie scattered across the network, each fragment carrying a spark of what once was. The Toolheads must unite to recover the lost pieces and rebuild the Cyber Crystal before their essence fades forever. Time is running out. #cyberstaking #cnfttools #wat
