Thanks to California’s Medical Assistance Teams, 80% of injured firefighters from 2024 to 2026 were able to get back to work—helping keep our emergency responders on the frontlines and ease up medical resources that evacuees also need from local hospitals: chhs.ca.gov/blog/2026/09/16/…

Today we participated in the 59th annual California Native American Day at the California State Capitol in Sacramento. This event celebrates California Tribal Nations. It included the Tule River Color Guard, an all-women’s drum group, exhibitors, and a Cultural Heritage Pavilion.
