Leader of the Scottish Greens Patrick Harvie says it is deeply wrong and dangerous politicians to tell doctors what drugs to prescribe. Harvie then says doctors should prescribe puberty blockers because there are good medical reasons to do so.

For the record. I'm not opposed to cutting government waste. It's just that 1) DOGE are going about this completely incompetently and 2) they regard what a lot of departments actually DO as "waste". Welfare, education, medical are all idealogically regarded as "waste" by them.
