It isn't racist to compare black women to trans women, because there's nothing wrong with trans women. It isn't a negative comparison unless you make it one. Black women aren't being removed from the class of women, trans women are being included instead of segregated.

That is actually segregation. It's just segregation that could be justified. Segregation isn't always wrong. But you have to have a good reason. It can't just be because you don't like XYZ

This logic is pretty stupid. I hate analogizing being trans to racism, but if you decided that you didn't want to share a bathroom or locker room with black women, no does not mean no, you cannot enforce that and that's good. I don't understand why this is in principle different.

🚨NEW: Our critique of a major "brain sex" study is now published. @AdamRochussen, @NeuroSGS, and I evaluate a central premise of gender activism and medicine: that trans-identifying people have brains that are shifted away from their sex and toward their "gender identity." The "brain sex" concept is so central because it purports to provide an empirical scientific basis for the notion that a child can be "born in the wrong body" and would therefore benefit from body-altering medical procedures to align their body with their mind/brain. The problem is that this concept is pure pseudoscience and propped up by deeply flawed methods and badly misinterpreted data. One of the most prominent studies is Kurth et al. (2022), published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine, which claimed that the brains of transgender women are shifted away from their sex and toward their "gender identity." The paper became one of the journal’s most accessed articles and has been cited in major media outlets, scientific papers, legal arguments, and policy discussions involving pediatric gender medicine and sports. We point out that the paper's headline conclusion rests on a series of serious methodological problems. Each group contained only 24 participants. The authors used poorly justified parametric methods, one-tailed post hoc tests, made no correction for multiple comparisons, and omitted important robustness checks. Once accounted for, the main finding is no longer statistically significant. An even more glaring failure of the study was that it failed to account for sexual orientation, despite its known association with neuroanatomical variation and despite the authors having the relevant participant data needed to examine it! We each repeatedly requested the anonymized participant-level data from the paper's lead author so we could independently evaluate the findings. We received no response. The evidence simply does not justify the sweeping "brain sex" conclusion for which this study has become famous. Our full critique in @Theory_Society is open access. A landmark Finnish study has found a sharp rise in psychiatric illness among adolescents following sex-alteration procedures. The peer-reviewed study, published in Acta Paediatrica, tracked every young person under 23 who contacted Finland's gender clinics between 1996 and 2019. A total 2,083 individuals were studied, with 16,643 matched controls. They were followed for up to 25 years. Finland's health registers are mandatory, which means no one opts out — this is the complete national picture. The numbers: psychiatric morbidity rose from 9.8% to 60.7% in adolescents who underwent feminising reassignment, and from 21.6% to 54.5% in masculinising reassignment. Even after adjusting for prior psychiatric history, gender-referred adolescents faced five times the risk of male population controls, and three times the risk of female controls. "Psychiatric needs do not subside after medical gender reassignment," the authors concluded. Referrals after 2010 arrived sicker. 47.9% had already needed psychiatric treatment before their first clinic visit, against 15.3% among controls. The authors' read: for some adolescents, gender distress may be secondary to other mental health challenges. The evidence keeps mounting. The silencing continues anyway. How many more adolescents will be told this is "care"?

I just want to remind everyone that 94% of Canada’s trans-identifying male inmates didn’t identify as trans until after they were arrested. These men, most of whom are violent sex offenders, are locked in women’s prisons and women’s cells all across Canada. The Canadian authorities have admitted that there have been rapes and sexual assaults, but have no intention of returning these monsters to the men’s prisons in which they belong. You heard it here first: women in Canada’s prison system have been officially condemned to rape.
