Update from Maya!
This week has been full-on with legal work. We filed our submissions and evidence for the next stage of the Hampstead Ponds case. The Good Law Project and TransLucent have also applied to intervene.
And today we received the judgment in our case against the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) over guidance from the Crown Prosecution Service on deception as to sex.

The judgment recognised that Sex Matters had standing as an expert charity and thanked our legal team, Sarah Vine KC and Chris Knight KC, for the “very high quality of the submissions”.
To that I would add thanks to our solicitor, Janet Farrell at Bhatt Murphy, and to Dennis Kavanagh of the Gay Men’s Network, who provided a witness statement in relation to gay men as victims of “stealthing” by trans-identifying women.

I’ve now learned that members of Tribunal Tweets have also not been sent links to remotely observe the Peggie v RCN, in contravention of a case management decision made by the judge in this case. I’ve written to the President of the Scottish Employment Tribunals to complain.

Unfortunately I’ve not received a link to observe Peggie v RCN tomorrow. I’ve been told by HMCTS that links have been sent out but I’ve not received one. I can only assume that I’ve been unsuccessful in my application. I’m hoping I’ll be able to get on tomorrow.
