People, please STOP putting words in my mouth and then using those made-up words to argue with me. It’s exhausting. 🙄 Before you decide who I am, maybe get to know a little about what I actually believe. Hope this helps….. A few things about little old me. • I am not a Liberal, but I’m definitely not far-right either. I’m somewhere in the middle, although I lean more left on most issues. Confusing? Tell me about it. 😂 • I don’t support the current level of immigration. I believe Canada needs to slow down and catch up with the people & infrastructure already here before moving forward. • I believe immigrants who can safely return to their home countries should do so. • I support stronger integration for those coming to our country to make a home for themselves and for the people already here. That includes learning to speak and understand English. AND learning our Canadian laws is extremely important IMO plus some of our customs. And I believe most do. That said, none of those views require me to despise immigrants, blame an entire race for the actions of individuals or wish harm on innocent people. In other words, I don’t have to be a racist asshole to have those opinions. And yes, I report some accounts and posts that violate X’s rules on hateful conduct, harassment, etc. because I’m tired of cowards hiding behind anonymous accounts spreading racist rhetoric, lies and dehumanizing innocent people. We are witnessing that kind of behaviour having real-world consequences, including innocent people getting hurt or worse, forcing people to live in fear every day of their lives. It’s not right! It’s not who we are as Canadians. That’s also why I have no problem celebrating when someone is held accountable for something they chose to say or do, knowing there could be consequences for their choices. “Freedom of Expression/Freedom of Speech” means you can express your opinions, but it doesn’t mean everyone else has to approve of them or that there can never be consequences. 👀 Because I refuse to be racist and my husband of 21 years is half ‘white European’ & half ‘Macanese’ and our beautiful, kind, smart daughters are “mixed,” I’ve been called a mudshark, race traitor, libtard, bitch, whore, fat, old, ugly, a virtue-signaller, “Indian bot farm,” race mixer and plenty of other lovely things, as well as doxxed countless times, threatened with violence and/or r*pe and much more. Whatever. Just words. I’m no victim.🤷🏼‍♀️ You don’t have to agree with me. You don’t even have to like me. But if you are going to disagree with me, PLEASE argue about what I actually said, not something you invented, assumed and put in my mouth. You don’t need to read between the lines because I am a straight shooter. In short…….. I can want changes to immigration policy without hating innocent people. I can love my country without believing I’m better than someone else. I can call out racism without being a Liberal. I can admit fault, learn from my mistakes, listen to each of you maturely and grow as a person. And I can disagree with you without wishing you harm. That’s who I am. My point is that this guy chose to wear a controversial shirt about Indigenous people in public, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. If he didn’t expect backlash, he’s not very bright. Was the consequence proportionate? I’m not Indigenous, so that’s not my call. Personally, a meaningful, sincere apology would’ve satisfied me. But I am still happy when someone is held accountable in a situation like this. Enough is enough! ‘Freedom of Expression’ doesn’t mean freedom from consequences.

Today is the ‘National Day for Truth and Reconciliation,’ a day to honour Residential School Survivors, their families & all the children who never came home. 🕊️ 🇨🇦 🧡 👼 🧡 👼 🧡 👼 🧡 👼 🧡 Sadly, today of all days, we’re seeing hateful people mocking Survivors and dismissing the residential school atrocities with disgusting and cruel comments. Ex: “no bodies, no proof.” MORE THAN 6,750 people gave recorded statements to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, including thousands of Survivors. How is that not enough proof for these hateful people?! Why are they still questioning the stories and experiences of so many indigenous people? I know why, do you? To all of you hateful racists and doubters, let me ask you something. If a cute little blonde haired, blue eyed girl told you she had been assaulted mentally, physically, sexually AND that she witnessed terrible things happen to other children, including some of her friends and a brother or sister, would you demand physical proof before believing her? Would you spend years questioning whether her experience was real? And make horrible accusations about what happened to her? Would you say mean and cruel things about that sweet, innocent, little blonde girl?
