I looked for you. None of those clubs are owned by a nation state, none of them have 114 guilty verdicts against them for financial doping & obstructing an investigation and none are trying to use political pressure against the government of the UK to avoid sporting sanctions.

My approved notes for Arteta the next time Merino is an unused sub: "I made a mistake by putting someone of the stature of Pelé or Maradona on to warm up and then not putting him in the game. If it were today I would not do it."

What a quote. So we know you have no respect for others, no value for history or rules and I guess you lot cannot be trusted in sport.
🚨JUST IN: Manchester City chairman, Khaldoon Al Mubarak, when he took over in 2008… “There is almost a personification of the club with the values we hold as Abu Dhabi. These are loyalty, commitment, discipline, long-term thinking, respect, appreciation of history… We are acknowledging that how we are handling this project is telling a lot to the world about how we are.”

I’ve been doing some reading up on how Michael Oliver referees The Arsenal. Some of the stats are almost unbelievable, and can’t all be coincidence, can they?……..

The way City/Abu Dhabi are behaving with the UK government - threats, intimidation, aggressive lobbying - can we rule out that they haven’t behaved this way with players, clubs and referees in order to get their own way? Becoming a bigger stain on our game with each passing day.

The fact that journalists are able to pick apart that appeal within 24 hours doesn’t bode entirely well for them 🤣 An appeal on which the basis was already dismissed as concocted bullshit by the independent panel anyway

Mad how the Premier League's financial rules are so anti-competitive that West Ham, Crystal Palace, Spurs and Aston Villa have all won Euro trophies, Palace and Newcastle have won domestic cups, 8 clubs in UCL over 2 seasons + Sunderland/Bournemouth/Brighton all in Europe now.

**EXCLUSIVE** Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak met a senior UK government minister to discuss the UAE’s investments in Britain just days before the club’s guilty verdicts were announced. Al Mubarak asked to meet Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds on 14 September in his capacity as CEO of Mubadala Investment Company, the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund, sources tell Bloomberg. The pair held a private meeting in Downing Street on that date, the people said. Al Mubarak talked about current and future UAE investment in Britain, they said. The conversation covered the full range of the relationship including defence, security, intelligence and trade, they said. Eleven days later, on 25 September, the Athletic reported Man City had been found guilty of breaking Premier League rules. On 29 September, the Premier League confirmed Manchester City had been found guilty of artificially boosting its balance sheet by more than £900 million. The fact of the meeting so close to the verdict will raise further questions about the UK government’s handling of the case. Andy Burnham has faced criticism, including from his own ministers and officials, after he publicly suggested Man City’s Abu Dhabi owners should not be disqualified from running the club because of the investment they bring to Britain. Earlier, Bloomberg reported that Emirati officials have warned the UK government that the severity of the ruling could undermine their appetite for future grand-scale commitments in Britain. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Nothing screams ‘I’m innocent’ quite as loudly as getting diplomatic immunity two years into the investigation.

Hello @etihad, I’ve just been quoted £4000 for return flights to Abu Dhabi. Can you please clarify if I need to pay the full amount? Or do I pay £115 and the Abu Dhabi Government pays the rest?

This is unreal. lol what a fucking club man. Paying people to pretend to be fans.
Paying guys like ‘Tego Sigel’ ‘Buvie’ and ‘Trujista’ to be fans is maybe worse than the 115
